Very enjoyable shaver
Been using for about 3 months nowI upgraded from a braun series 1 single foil shaver that I had for years (7+). I was worried about the massive head on this unit causing it to feel bulky. However I personally found the head to feel very comfortable and glides across the face smoothly. Compared to my older single foil, I don’t have to worry as much if I miss a day of shaving. This shaver really does get the longer hairs. My older unit was great at getting stubble, but anything to long and you have to finish with a razor to get those, or I have to use a razor entirely. This new shaver fixes all of that, i can miss a day or 2 and this still cleans me up very nicely. Still not great on neck hairs but that’s all shavers to me.It doesn’t feel to bulky on the face, and the upper foil still gets the upper lip area really well. The self cleaning system works very well to. I was kinda skeptic on if I really cared for it, but worth the extra money.

Best Electric Save Yet!
I heard good things about the previous Series 6 that this model is based off of, so I decided to give this a try. I decided to do a wet shave with this to gauge how comfortable it is to use. So far this has worked wonderfully! I spend a little extra time under my jaw on my neck since I know that’s a problem spot for me, and even wet I only had slight irritation on the “turbo” setting. Nothing some post shave balm didn’t cure. I do not use an electric all the time, but I want to start. The care center is a nice bonus and the replacement cartridges are reasonably priced. It you can try to refill them, but right now it seems more hassle than it’s worth. The replacement blades are not bad either, but they are slightly more expensive than the old Series 6 yet still cheaper than Panasonic depending on the razor.My previous foil shaver was okay, but it would chew up my face around my mouth and low neck. This definitely gets closer than going with the gain with a blade, but not quite as close going against. The benefit to with this is less irritation when going against and the possibility to use it “dry” in a pinch or with some electric pre-shave, besides wet. I definitely recommend this.

Decent enough product. Lost a star for support
I bought this for my son who is 15 and just isn’t comfortable with a regular disposable razor for whatever reason. He’s also 15, so he could just be lazy. Anyway, I tried the shaver out a couple of times so I could show him how to use it. This is where the first star was lost. The “instruction” material that comes in the package is completely useless. For the booklets, the only words are the typical warnings and “safety” information that I’m sure was only included because their lawyers told them to put it in there. Other than that, there’s nothing but pictures and they’re not really all that intuitive. So, I did what any modern era person would do and went to the website. There are lots of articles on how to create different facial hair styles, but nothing at all helpful on how to use or maintain this product.As to the actual performance of the product, once you figure out how to use it (right pressure, correct angle, stretch your skin, go slow, etc) it gives a decent shave. I can typically skip a day of shaving with a regular bladed razor and this shaver produces similar results. If there is anything more than a 5 o’clock shadow on your face, this shaver struggles. So, anyone who wants to go from beard to smooth is going to have to take an extra step and trim down the beard to a shadow length. I also discovered that even though it says “wet or dry,” it works MUCH better dry. My son tried it after a shower and the shaver just would not move across his skin. The next time he tried it before his shower and had a much less frustrating experience. I haven’t tried it with any sort of shave gel or shaving cream.The battery life seems to be OK. We’ve had it for about a month and used it maybe 10 times without having to recharge. Apparently the station that came in the package will charge and clean the device. But, I’ve already talked about how horrible the instructions are for that, so, good luck.Overall, I suppose it does as good of a job as any other electric shaver I’ve ever used. I think $130 is a bit much for the product itself, even with all the “extras” included. It’s not really worth the time and effort to return it and try something else, so, we are going to keep it. Based on this product experience, I would not buy another product from Braun, but that is not Amazon’s fault.

Not even good
This razor is horrible. There is no close shave to this thing. It took me double the time to shave with this thing than to just shave regularly. By the time I finally was able to finish my face saw red from the amount of times I had to go back over it to get all the hair it missed. I tried with and without cream and no change. Normally I get the Norelco but felt like trying something else. Never doing that again. My dull 6 year old Norelco cuts better than this thing. Never going with another one ever again.

I’ve been using a blade for ages and used to have one of these back in the 90s. The 6 series seemed like a better than average model so I chose this. I remembered the cleaning station and it always worked well which this one does, with added fill detection and flashy light. It cleans faster than the old one, under 5 minutes. There is the cost of the refills but there are alternatives. The razor has 2 speeds, charges fast and a charge lasts a few shaves but it charges while in the cleaner so it keeps up on its own. Indicators for battery, clean, turbo, head replacement and button lock. It does give a good close shave but I find a blade to be closer. For a daily shave this one does just fine. The price is good considering the clean station and a cartridge comes with it. Luckily the box did not contain any venomous spiders so no worries there. That alone sold me on it.

Great razor, the “special” cleaning thing is an ugly waste of space, and where are you supposed to buy the disposable cleaner? Mine will be going out in the recycle bin.
