No more guilt
I like using things that donât pollute the world with more plastics. So when I saw this biodegradable sponge I thought I should try them. They are a good replacement for the soft blue sponges. The coca scrubber is firm at first but loosens up in a few days and works just like the non scratch blue sponges. The cellulose sponge seems just like other sponges to me but I am happy to know they break down over time.Inexpensive, same as regular sponges and is a good replacement as far as I can tell. I have been using the first one in the box of 12 now a month and I have no complaints. For really hard burnt on food you might want a metal scrubber. Otherwise these are perfect.

Good but a bit too rigid at first
I like that this is a more natural alternative, cellulose is a plant derived plastic that is biodegradable. The coconut side is a bit abrasive at first so I would not scrape faucets with it (It left scratches). Also when you first use it, the sponge is so rigid that itâs hard to clean the dishes. You have to break into the sponge after multiple use. This may be the case with many other natural sponges though. You definitely need to replace these sponges more often because the coconut shreds, thin long strands will start falling off the sponge. I believe this is about the same time when you should be switching out sponges anyway so itâs not a huge dealbreaker. I do want to search for other options though because of how rigid the sponge is and also the shredding part of it. I like that there isnât artificial coloring added to it and has a natural appearance.
