Why are my tapes slipping?
Too much hair in between the “tape sandwich” can cause the panels to not properly stick to each other. Using a professional sealing tool like the Blueberry will help press out all the air bubbles and make sure tape panels are properly “sandwiched” around your hair. Shampoo your hair and tape extensions before applying – ALWAYS. Oil is the enemy of hair extension tape. Any oil in your shampoo, conditioner, hair products or even the tape extension remover can make your tapes to slip or fall out. Forgot to heat up the tape before applying. For best results the Extra Hold Tape needs to be slightly heated with a flat iron before applying your tape extensions.
My tapes loosened and came out as soon as I got them wet.
Don’t Get Your Hair Wet for 48 Hours: Wait at least 2 days before working out, wetting, or shampooing the hair. Dry Your Roots: Always blow dry where the tape attaches to your hair as soon as you get out the shower. Press It Real Good: Press the sandwich together to help keep it sealed together at least once a week. They were self applied. If the tape panels don’t align with each other perfectly then slipping and reduced wearing time may occur. Old tape wasn’t removed. Old tape was removed but there was a lot of sticky, oily residue left behind.
My stylist applied them and they still fell out.

The tape holds great!
The tape is great – it held my extensions in for 8 weeks. They probably would have stayed in for another 4 weeks or so- but I had to remove them.

These tapes are the worst. At first, I thought they were great but then my extensions were sliding off the tape and the tape would meld into my hair. My hair dresser literally wants to kill me over this. So hard to remove and has to scrape from my hair. Will never buy again.

Held up through weeks of intense workouts
Iâm a gym owner and trainer and workout consistently generally 2x a day everyday – usually by week 3 my tapes are coming apart due to the excessive sweat on my scalp in addition to washing every other day – these held up for nearly 5 weeks until I decided to remove them! Highly recommend! Normal fall after 5 weeks with patient removal these did not damage my hair in the least.

I wanted to add length and purchased tape-ins on to apply but had to remove all because they would not stick. Ordered these and reapplied and they feel so great and secure. Really test will be when I wash my hair in 3 days. Will update after a few weeks/.

These were great the first two weeks by 3rd week it was falling apart and left big sticky tape ins in your hair like goo stuck in your hair..!! I had to soak my head with baby oil to get all that goo out..!! They dont last more than 4 weeks or more at all..!! Definitely not worth the money..!!

These tapes are great. I get about 8 weeks out of them before they really start to slip. The only downside is they leave quite a bit of sticky residue in your hair. Nothing some alcohol cant take care of though. I have since bought more to reapply my extensions and also the clip kit so that i can turn some old tape ins into clip ins for extra added fullness 🙂 Shipping was fast and compared to other tapes I prefer these for sure. ESPecially since some of the tapes that came on my extensions were bad and fell out within a day

I should’ve known soon as the FAQ says: ALL MY TAPES FELL OUT AT THE SAME TIME – and the company’s response was: first thing you need to have when wearing tapes is a sense of humor. Things happen sometimes.Ummmm . . . chile, say what? Your product has one job. One. Stick.The original tapes that came with my extensions lasted strong for four weeks, with only a couple slipping the week before because it was my fist time and I was doing a self install so the ones near the nape of my neck weren’t lined up the best.These ones have started coming off after 3 days and I haven’t even dunked my head in the shower yet or have done a full detangle (my extensions are 3c/18 inches).I’ve had to order more from a different supplier that based on the image appear to be closer to the original tape on my extensions. Annoyed that I’ll have to take this all down and reinstall but lesson learned and hopefully someone else will see and appreciate the candid review.ONLY pro these tapes had was a score down the middle that made removing the film super quick and easy. But I’ll take the inconvenience of picking at corners for a higher quality product that won’t force me to reinstall my whole head after less than one week.

This was my first time putting in my own tape in hair extensions, I have always got them done professionally before. I heated up the tape slightly before putting them in and have had no issues with them falling out. Will be buying these again and installing my own extensions going forward.
