Yes to zinc oxide as the active sunscreen ingredient! I was expecting it to be a much thicker formula, however, since zinc is what’s being used. It’s very, very thin and coverage is just tinted, not full coverage by any means. If you get your color wrong, it’s not the end of the world because it does blend well. With it being a thin formula, it goes on extremely easy, even just using your hands to apply instead of a brush, but I worry about applying too much because I don’t feel enough is on my skin when I squeeze that general pea-sized amount. I’ll have to play around with this a bit to figure out how much to use each time. I like the SPF 40. I do feel that anymore than 30 SPF is sort of unnecessary from a health standpoint. The size of this squeeze bottle is perfect to last a sunny summer and I love the boxy shape of the bottle. It’ll be easy to throw in my sun bag. I have only used this 3 times but I do feel that it was effective, even without reapplying. The scent is super light, almost non-existent, which I really appreciate. I don’t like the fake stuff.

tinted mineral SPF without the white cast or tacky texture–love it!
I have tried countless sunscreens, and had low expectations, but this one wowed me!First off, I have never been able to find a tinted sunscreen that actually (or even remotely) matched my skin tone. Somehow, this one doesn’t have either the chalky tone that makes skin look ashy OR the orange tone that just looks dirty. It has a thinner texture than most tinted SPFs I’ve tried, meaning it spreads well and doesn’t leave me feeling like I have a layer of tacky, thick paste on my face. The tint was enough that I didn’t feel the need to apply foundation on top. I do wish it had a bit higher SPF, but the bottle is a great size to carry around and the texture is so easy to work with that I do not mind reapplying a bit more often if needed. Love it!

Anticipation
Iâve really liked the Beauty of Jonson products Iâve tried in the past and am eagerly anticipating what this oneâll be like. Iâm slightly afraid this color might not be quite right for my skin (and I reddish tinted or am I just pale?). Will update upon trying it.

Tinted sunscreen that is not too heavy
This tinted sunscreen is my second beauty of joseon product. Iâm familiar with their sunscreen from South Korea, the one with PA++++ and not the US broad spectrum version. Because of this, I have a feeling the original South Korean version would apply much better and smoother. This feels decent for a time sunscreen, similar to the Erborian one Iâve been using. I still use the Asian version as a sunscreen before applying this. The color is not opaque so even though the match isnât the best, it isnât noticeable.

Not what I was expecting
Iâm always skeptical buying Korean skincare off Amazon. Thereâs a lot of dupes out there. I did purchase this through the official beauty of joseon page but who knows. The formula is really watery. It feels okay on the skin but it didnât do much in the tint department. Itâs really sheer. Iâll be returning this one and ordering from Olive Young instead.

A barely tinted sunscreen
When you first apply it, it feels a bit greasy but after a few minutes, you end up with a mildly powdery semi-matte finish. If you’re familiar with “sunscreen milks” that are prevalent in Japan and Korea (esp Japan), this is that texture- a thin, silicone-y liquid. Usually I avoid milk-type sunscreens since I have dry skin and they tend to emphasize the flakes… This one unfortunately is not an exception. I have to prep and exfoliate my skin pretty well beforehand so that this applies smoothly without pilling over my flakes.My skin isn’t really problematic, so I can’t really comment on the coverage if you have rosacea or acne, but I do have some dark circles and dull skin and this doesn’t seem to cover them much at all as it’s a pretty sheer coverage. I understand that is kinda expected from a skin tint product but tbh I kinda expect SOMETHING, maybe to even out my skintone at least, or else I’ll just use my regular sunscreen.The shades are pretty forgiving imo, I was worried that this shade (LP110) might lean too pink, since my skintone is a true neutral but it seems to blend in pretty well, probably due to the sheer coverage. And as far as I can tell, it doesn’t oxidize either so that’s good!I would rate this more like a 3.5, but I really think I’d reach for other products before this one, so I rounded this down to 3 stars for me and my skin type. I think it’s more targeted towards oily or combo skin, but it can still work on me with proper skin prep.

Natural tint
I love this. The shade match was pretty seamless for my skintone. It really is just a tint and it is a very light tint. You’re not going to get much coverage with this. I didn’t see any white cast, but I am pale. It felt lightweight on my skin and nongreasy. I do wish it was a higher spf.

A Must Have Tinted Sunscreen
I absolutely love Korean skin care and makeup products. And this one turns out to be another great winner combining sunscreen and light foundation. It goes on my face and neck so smoothly, and there is no white cast or shine. The tint is subtle and natural, great for light makeup days. And it is very moisturizing too!
