Nice product
Ok, ladies, I will not lie. I did not get this for hubbies beard. The ingredients were intriguing to me. Grow a better beard? What about hair and scalp? I mean…biotin. I wanted something for my scalp and hair that could travel without spilling all over the bathroom shelf in the camper. This fits that want. The product is the consistence of a lip balm or lipstick. No sloshing. The container has a screw on style lid so it won’t randomly pop off. It is the size of a tobacco can so it doesn’t take up much room. It even comes with a scoop so you can use it without contaminating the product.The balm melts quickly and evenly on your fingers or palms and my hair absorbs it in an instant. It is a bit “heavy” to use as a conditioner, but I rub it lightly into the ends of my hair to keep them from drying out. I mostly wanted it for my scalp to rub in the way you would do with liquid oils. I put it on my fingertips and rake it onto my scalp and massage it in. Just a little. This isn’t a greasy balm but it is heavy.The fragrance is woodsy to me. I get a sort of complicated birch bark scent. Or maybe more like when you open a cedar chest. The scent that sort of wafts out when you open the lid. Stronger in the container than on the skin, of course. When on the ends of my hair the scent is very very light. Just barely noticeable even. A little bit goes a long way. If you get heavy handed you will be washing your hair or your beard. Unless you like super shiny and wet/greasy looking beard. hah. Seriously, a little dab will do ya here.I like the product enough that I have a second one. I am not sure if it comes with multiple scents, but that would be a nice option to have.

Smells Great
This beard balm smells great – it easily warms up and is applied to my beard evenly. The thickening effect of the balm is good too. It does have biotin in it but I only just started using it so it will be a little until I see those effects. However, I do recommend it as a solid beard balm at least.

Not the right fit for me
I followed the instructions and used half a fingernailâs worth of castor oil, melting it in my hands before applying it to my beard. The oil has a fairly strong scentânot unpleasantâbut it didnât help tame my unruly hairs. Since I have various allergies, Iâm hesitant to increase the amount. Unfortunately, this product doesnât seem to be the right fit for me.

I used alot of beard products over the years but this one does what it made to do,may beard is thicker and fuller the smell of the product is outstanding ,I will continue to buy and recommend.

Not bad but is a bit oily and a bit sticky
I got this product for my winter beard. The scent is faint, smells a little like wood. I have been trying it for 3 weeks and the product is very thick and oily but it did not do much to placate my winter beard. It also requires lots of soap to rinse. I stopped using it because for me is more unpleasant to feel oily and a bit sticky.
