Used the ear holes for my braid.
Great fit, longer length which is nice, covers your butt if pulled all the way down. Breathable neck gaiter, comfortable hood! Arm length good! Iâm recovering from facial surgery and feel this protect my scar while healing from the south florida sun. I ordered small, Iâm 5,3 145lbs. Definitely recommend!

Almost fantastic!
I live in S Fl, so I LIVE in sun shirts! I have tried and own so many.- This shirt has thin fabric (which is good), but also some weight to it, which comes from the hood/top portion- The fabric wrinkles easily- To my surprise, it fits me well – not large, not too snug. Since they didn’t have XS, I thought S would be too large on my 5â3, 106lbs, 32B frame, but it turned out perfect.- Love the thumbholes!- It has a side pocket, but it deeps to the back, not the front somehow, which is fine, just unusual.- Love the hoodie option, but I wish it was larger at the front to cover my forehead. It is floppy/loose anyway, so some extra extra fabric for the forehead would be ideal.- Now to the face cover.. VERY, very useful addition! But⦠The ear holes are not the most comfortable because they make my ears pop like elephantâs ears. And although the mouth/nose fabric is perforated (great), it sits too tight to the face. Tube balaclavas like this are hard to keep on face, unless they are super tight (hence the ear holes), which will make it hard to breathe. For that reason, I aways use a hoodie/full cover balaclavas (with options to put the top part down and leave the nose/face covered) for running – they easily stay on and arenât too clingy (depends on balaclava too I guess). So, I think making That type of balaclava attached to the shirt would be my ideal sun shirt.

Gotta wash it before wearing. The gaiter over the nose really enhances that yucky factory smell.
This Bassdash sun protection hoodie is good. I ordered the XXL because I wanted a nice, loose fit around my 38C and it’s just the way I wanted it. It took me a hot moment to figure out how to put this thing on but once it was on, the fabric is soft, cool and smooth enough for my sensitive skin. The hoodie part is large enough to cover my head and the gaiter doesn’t feel like it’s choking me. There are small holes right over the nose and mouth area for easier breathing. The only thing is the fabric had a little bit of that chemical factory smell which wasn’t too strong until I had the gaiter up over my nose and that smell was then knocking me hard in the nostrils. I definitely recommend washing this before wearing so your nose doesn’t have to deal with that funky smell.The fabric is also thin, which may make this hoodie slightly sheer (especially when stretched) in certain lighting. You should probably be cognizant of what you wear underneath it.The only thing I’m not a real fan of is the one pocket on the side. Why only one pocket? It makes the hoodie feel a little uneven, weight-wise.Other than that, I think this is a quality garment and although the purple is a little brighter than I like, it should be good enough to easily spot me in the woods or while walking on roads. It covers my skin quite well where only my eye area is visible. I don’t know if I would wear this on the hottest of days, but it’s definitely good enough for cool to warm sunny days. The fabric is relatively thin and should hopefully be more breathable since I ordered a size up and thus it drapes a little loosely on my frame.

Love the color!
I absolutely love the BASSDASH Hoodie! The purple color is super attractive and funâdefinitely stands out in a great way. The material is soft and comfortable, making it perfect for outdoor activities like hiking and cross-country skiing. The built-in gaiter is the perfect addition (and my favorite feature!), providing extra protection and warmth. I also love the long sleeves and sun protection, which are essential for long days outside. This hoodie is a fantastic combination of style, comfort, and functionality. Highly recommend!

Awesome shirt
By far and away, my favorite feature of this shirt is the secret pocket! It had a zipper and is spacious enough for a house key, money, credit card, or FOB.The face cover that comes up has ear holes to make sure it doesnât slide off your face, which I think is fantastic. My only issue with them is they tugged on my ears a bit and I bet after extending wear time it would cause a headache or ear ache for sure lol but the concept is brilliant.The sleeves have thumb holes to prevent them from riding up your arm, which is awesome of course.And the whole facial cover is optional, so when you donât have it up, it tucks into the neckline of the shirt and can either be fluffed up to act kinda like a scarf would, or tucked totally under the shirt to not even be seen.The hood does not cinch but I wouldnât expect it to with a shirt like this type.Quality material, feels super durable.Extremely breathable and comfortable.I am excited to take this jogging in the fall! My nose finally stay warm! ðDefinitely recommend for many fall activities!Oh and the color is just as vibrant as it seems in the photos. Itâs really pretty. Purple is a fall color and they nailed it!

Sun protection you want.
I grabbed this piece for sun protection when sailing. I love everything about it. If I were to pick something I didnât like itâs the face shield and how itâs held up by the ears. My ears are tiny so it does not feel great. Otherwise my big hair fits in the hood which is a challenge and itâs not hot under the sun.

Runs a little small
I ordered up a size, and it fits like my normal size. I love the integrated mask for gardening work. I’m really allergic to plants and grass, and this is really helpful for accomplishing gardening tasks without triggering a severe allergic reaction. The thumb holes help hold the sleeves down into my gloves. The hood keeps the sun off my neck. Love it!
