Good stretch, takes some adjustment
This back stretcher is really interesting. It does get a good amount of stretch, though sometimes it isn’t very uncomfortable. It can be adjusted to have a lot of different angles – I definitely recommend playing around with it to figure out what stretch feels good. Getting the piece bent in can be a bit challenging and require some force, so I wouldn’t recommend it to anyone who has major mobility issues. There is a soft piece that goes on, but it is kind of very loosely on there. Despite this, it hasn’t had issues staying on.

Works well for me
I got this hoping to stretch my lower back a bit and relieve some pain. It took a little bit to get used to, and work my way up to the highest level, but it worked well for me. Back still hurts at times, but being able to stretch it helps alleviate some of that pain. It’s a bit thin, but holds my weight. I was worried it wouldn’t be sturdy but that hasn’t been a problem as of yet. It’s hard to adjust and readjust, in my opinion, but I don’t have a lot of hand strength at times. I do wish the foamy bit stayed on better.

Feels cheap
This arrived in perfect condition and looks just like the pictures. The plastic is thin and lightweight and the foam stripe down the middle is not fixed at all, it just tucks into the frame. This feels quite flimsy and I’m sure that foam stripe will not last very long since it is not fixed to the fame at all. That said, it is not expensive and does a good job of stretching out my back. This could be a really good product with a few small improvements in design.

Great for stretching
this is nicer to have than I expected it would be. It’s great for stretching when sore, i can lay back on it and not worry about twisting one side more than the other by just arching my back without any support. I’ve actually been using it much more than just soreness, when my puppy has a tantrum and wants me to lay on the floor with him the lowest arch on this is comfortable for longer periods and getting up seems easier.

Too Flimsy to Stretch on, Good for Chair Back Support However
This SLANA Back Stretcher is a great idea and design, however the adjustable bendable arch is too flimsy. I’m not a terribly heavy woman and laying on this immediately it collapses. There are a few notches where you can bend it and secure it to make for a more extreme arch or stretch. Using this on the floor it collapses on the first and second lowest settings (flattest settings) The third setting is a more extreme arch, and it holds up better, but the arch is too extreme really to be useful. The fourth and most extreme of all the arches, you cannot even set the adjustable board to that setting it just springs free, so it is totally unusable. You may wonder why I gave this 3 stars for “ok” given all I have just said about it- it is because, this actually is a nice back support to use in a chair. You aren’t lying so hard against it that it flattens, and it really helps my back pain to get a pretty firm arch support like this to lean against. I like the acupressure bumps it has too, feels good against my back when I’m using this vertically in a chair, while I’m working at my computer. So, for that purpose I like this, for the stretching out your back on the floor- this is not good. They need to firm that curving board up a bit so that it holds its shape on the settings you have selected.

Very disappointing
I was so looking forward to this. It showed up at my doorstep and I pulled it out of the box, quickly read through the not great instructions, and sat down on my living room floor. My cat even got excited with me and came to supervise.Following the suggestions, I started with the lowest hump. It felt like basically nothing, so I sat up and adjusted to the second hump. I wasn’t even halfway down when I felt it buckle. I know I’m a big girl, but I was sitting on the floor halfway leaned back in a sit-ups position. It’s not like I hit it with my full weight. I sat back up, adjusted it, and tried again. It buckled almost immediately.Turns out that I can actually make it buckle with my hands, if I squeeze hard enough. Maybe I was expecting too much from a flimsy piece of plastic, but still. It feels like a safety hazard. Now I’m having nightmarish flashes of “what if” and broken plastic, and being on it when it finally gives. Very disappointing, and a little bit scary.

Need to get use to it
The SLANA Back Stretcher for Lower Back Pain Relief is definitely something you have to get use to. I’m still not convinced I love it. It does provide a nice stretch, but it is hard and uncomfortable to lay on. It is made of hard plastic, but I do not think it is super sturdy. I do like that there are different settings. My son’s back bothers him sometimes and he enjoys laying on this stretcher. He said it makes his back feel better.
