Dry skin folks, please don’t be afraid to try.
I have dry, dehydrated, sensitive skin. Chemical sunscreens irritate me and physical formulas with high zinc concentrations suck the ever-loving-life out of my skin (zinc has strong astringent properties). Without fail, I will look like the crypt keeper by the end of the day with flakes galore… and it doesn’t matter how moisturizing the formula may be otherwise. The higher the zinc, the drier my skin. So it’s been a struggle for me to find the right fit with mineral sunscreens. This one will now be in my regular rotation.1. It has a sufficient, but low zinc content (4%) with the addition of the much more forgiving titanium dioxide (also 4%).2. Zero white cast. Period.3. There are 3 tints to choose from (I wear the fair-to-light, as I’m quite pale). My only wish is that the undertone was less cool/pink. This is always a problem for me, as my skin’s undertone is yellow (and no one seems to care about us bananas).4. No shine! Thank the heavens… I was so tired of looking like a mirror ball after dutifully applying my SPF. And that brings us to the “dry” issue that some people have pointed out. This formula has a true matte finish (not like the others you’ve tried that claim to be matte and are still dewy… this one is matte for dayyyys). While this product may have a dry touch formulation, it is not DRYING. As in, it is not going to actually dehydrate your skin. Shea butter is the 2nd (inactive) ingredient. The formula also contains vitamin B5, vitamin E, and squalane. I have zero issues with this product drying out my already desert-like skin. Just be sure to moisturize first, which you should be doing anyway. However, if your skin does not tolerate silicones (which actually help prevent TEWL, by the way), you may not care for this product.5. It’s truly sweat and water resistant! Like, this stuff is not budging until you tell it to scram. And you’ll need to double cleanse to remove it, which again, everyone should be doing anyway. I like to jog outside in the sun. I will have beads of perspiration pouring down my face. This sunscreen is totally unfazed. It never runs, gets greasy, or moves in the slightest. It also doesn’t get into your eyes and cause stinging.6. I love that this is SPF 50 (until now, I had only found the formulations of SPF 30 to be bearable).7. It is cosmetically elegant… lightweight, silky, smooth… not sticky, tacky, or greasy AT ALL.8. It’s affordable! Hallelujah!!Aside from the pink undertone that I don’t love, there is one other con. Eucalyptus extract is a known skin sensitizer… one of the worst offenders, actually. It doesn’t irritate me, but it surely will be an irritant for some. I’m not sure what purpose it’s serving here, except for AG being able to call the product “botanical.” I’d love to see them nix it altogether and add something more soothing and tolerable for all skin types. How about aloe? It’s botanical and almost universally tolerated.Lastly, I have not yet tried this product under foundation, as I don’t tend to wear it regularly. But it is important that it plays well with my make up when I do wear it. So I’ll have to test it out. I’ve seen mixed reviews on that. Some love it under make up, some find that it fails as a base. I’d love to hear more opinions in that respect.

Australian Gold light tint sunscreen.
The best sunscreen I have ever used and was recommended by the National Eczema Society. The formula is buttery soft immediately sinking into the skin with a wonderful matte finish. I chose the light tint for my pale Celtic skin and it is the perfect “foundation” I only need. At an SPF 50, what a bargain! There is no greasy feel, no ghost like appearance, no eye irritation, and NO acne, just a great base for my sensitive complexion. Abit of mascara and SPF lip tint and off I go! Makes getting ready in the mornings so easy! 🙂 Thank you Australian Gold for getting an SPF formula right!!

It’s not my favorite – I changed my mind
I have a light/medium complexion and have never used sunscreen in my life but I had some hyperpigmentation spots show up on my face so I went to the dermatologist and was given a cream to put before bed and told that I needed to start using sunscreen. My dermatologist suggested several brands (all with Iron Oxides and at least SPF 50). I actually purchased two brands that he suggested (La Roche-Posay – 1.7 oz for $33.50 and this one – 3 oz for $15.99), two that were not on his list but still have iron oxides and are still at least SPF 50 (Cotz Flawless Complexion – 2.5 oz for $25, Predator Warpaint mineral sunscreen – 1.65 oz for $9.95), and three smaller tubes to keep in my purse for reapplication throughout the day that still have iron oxides but a lower SPF (Andalou Naturals BB Cream – 2 oz for $14.85, Atomy BB Cream 1.4 oz for $11.96, and Maybelline Dream Fresh BB Cream – 1 oz for $8.00).Out of the two that my dermatologist suggested that I purchased (La Roche-Posay and AG), I prefer the La Roche-Posay. Both go on smooth and the color match for both is great but I feel that the La Roche-Posay covers much better and I can use the sunscreen without having to put powder or anything else to help cover. I also feel that the La Roche-Posay makes my face feel much softer. However, the La Roche-Posay is also double the price for half the size as the AG so I’ll have to pick my battle there.I know this isn’t a review for the others I purchased, but I do want to add (in case anyone is in the same spot as me of searching for a sunscreen that suits them), the Cotz Flawless Complexion is great, it’s a tad lighter and leaves a tad of a sticky feel (opposite to La Roche-Posay and AG), but coverage is great and price is in the middle of the La Roche-Posay and the AG. I have not tried the Predator Warpaint one yet so I can’t comment on that one other than it was cheap. As far as the ones I had bought for my purse… The Andalou Naturals is a tad too light for my complexion, but coverage is good and I would probably buy it again if I couldn’t find my favorite one. The Atomy BB Cream is NOT recommended at all. Although it was only $12, it makes me look like a ghost and I dislike the way it spreads and feels on my face (a bit “chalky”). If I didn’t care about wasting, it would already be in the trash. The Maybelline BB Cream is my favorite that I bought for my purse. Great coverage, goes on smooth, matches great, and price was decent. Therefore my favorites of the SPF 50 that I have tried in order of favorite to least favorite are:La Roche-PosayCotz Flawless ComplexionAGMy favorite that I had bought for my purse in order from favorite to least favorite are:MaybellineAndalouAtomyI hope this helps someone out there.4/8/2022 UPDATE: After using the AG and the Cotz for about 5 months or so now, I have changed my mind. My favorites in order are: La Roche-Posay, AG, thenCotz Flawless Complexion. After using them for a while (and now that the weather is getting warmer), I found the Cotz was giving me a very greasy feel and made my face look so shiny and gross! I also noticed that the coverage is not great now that it has been so warm. The AG does not make me as shiny, it covers better (because it doesn’t seem to melt off my face), and it matches my skin better. I have purchased another bottle of the AG and I will not be purchasing the Cotz anymore. For under $20, the AG is my first pick. If money wasn’t a deciding factor, it would still be the La Roche-Posay.Also… I have had a lot of progress with my hyperpigmentation after my derm told me to start using Heliocare Advanced or Ultra. So if you are struggling with hyperpigmentation/melasma, you might want to look into that.

VERY IMPRESSED!
I did a lot of research trying to find a good tinted mineral sunscreen for sensitive/rosacea prone skin and came across this one. Let me tell you I am SO GLAD I PURCHASED THIS. It feels amazing on the skin. Not one bit of irritation at all. Feels so hydrating and the finish looks amazing!!! Also, the tube was bigger than I was expecting. Might need to rub it in a little bit but Iâm telling you this is god tier tinted sunscreen!!! My skin looks like it has a blur filter on it. Not greasy AT ALL!!! Definitely going to become my everyday sunscreen. So impressed!

SPF Protective and Easy to Apply Cream with Natural-Looking Tint
I love this sunscreen bb cream! It has no smell, blends beautifully, feels light on the skin, and does a great job of protecting my sensitive skin with its 50 spf formula. And I really like its natural-looking tint, which keeps my pale skin from looking ghostly. I’ve received so many compliments on my skin since using it. Thank you!

Cambié mi bloqueador habitual por este, ya que buscaba una opción sin disruptores hormonales y es mucho mejor de lo que pensé, además de ser mejor para mi salud me encantan la textura y como deja la piel al colocarlo

That’s the best sunscreen I have ever used (and trust me when I say I have tried many!!).I have oily skin and live in humid weather. Still, this sunscreen leave my skin feeling and looking matte. As for the color, I had to mix fair and medium but then I get to my perfect skin tone.Love it and don’t plan to change it anytime in the near feature.

Love this foundation. Very light but still gives coverage and also gives protection against the sun.It does come in different skin tones so check before ordering. If fair skinned make sure you order lightest shade.
Anna –
Have made a mistake in ordered a darker shade but since its summer totally workable. Matt finished and non greasy. However it does transfer on clothes. Tissue. Mask. (Everywhere). But i liked that i dont have to put on foundation, i use this instead. Will repurchase in lighter shade.
