The deep worry lines on my forehead were replaced by a smooth plain (jaw dropping transition). Even the 11’s between my eyebrows were noticeably diminished! My skin felt supple and pliable. The glow was almost too intense for my fair skin, but it settled into a healthy, even tone by the next day. Additionally, the following day my face was not quite as full, but overall, 85-90% of the improvements I experienced were still visible!!!![SCENT] 👃🏻I’m sensitive to scents, and some collagen masks literally gag me. Thankfully, this mask has a pleasant, almost soothing smell, likely due to its rice-based collagen.[SENSITIVITY] 😳I experienced no tingle, flushing or other irritation to my (hyper) sensitive skin. If you have any concerns, do a patch test using one of the cutouts prior to using the mask. Be sure to place the mask in a sealed freezer bag in the refrigerator during this test to keep the mask from drying out.[FIT] 📏The mask’s design has some pros and cons. The shorter jaw piece was great for my small face, but the eye and mouth cutouts were too large, missing areas like under-eye bags, crow’s feet, and smile lines. The mask was also too wide for my face, causing peeling at the hairline. I had to use a spa band to keep it in place.[TRANSLUCENCY] 👻Unlike other collagen masks I’ve used, this one actually turned translucent in the areas where it made good contact with my skin, indicating absorption. (Note: you the areas where the mask overlap will not turn translucent.)[OVERALL] 🏆Despite the fit issues, I’m in love with the visible improvements to my skin. I’m considering trimming the mask where it runs into my hair and using the pieces to cover areas the cutouts miss. I’m on a fairly strict budget, but if this works, and I see results that are sustainable for more than a day or two, I may try to invest in doing one of these at least weekly. My long, very detailed and incredibly HONEST opinion-
Im a big fan of the overnight masks and have used a few different brands that have definitely delivered results. I have used Anua before and enjoyed their products, so I was excited to give these a try. I am a 42yo skincare junkie with sensative combo skin that I am obsessed with keeping as youthful and healthy looking as possible. I picked up the Rice masks hoping to firm up what gravity and age have taken down.These are the thick, somewhat heavy (especially compared to paper or cloth) gel masks. They are absolutely drenched in serum in the beginning, making them a little bit slippery and a bit difficult to handle at first, but once you open them, they are easy to apply. These masks, like many of the other overnight masks I’ve used come in two pieces- upper and lower face. I love these because they really apply so well to the face, without bubbles or huge gaps anywhere. I would say direct contact with the skin is around 97%. Nice.At first, these are a bit heavy and even with a proper application, they do have a tendency to slide down in the beginning. I found that I had to relax and take it easy (not be up walking around) for about 45 minutes after application or until they started to fuse onto my skin.That’s great right? I mean- this is an overnight masks so put it on and go to bed. Simple!Well, yes and no.These (like other overnight masks) are pretty juicy and take a while to ‘fuse’ to the face. If you are a back sleeper that doesn’t roll or move your head (basically you stay still all night) then you are fine, but these masks in particular take quite a while to dry down enough to fuse to the skin (enough where you can roll over and put your face on the pillow without loosing the mask or saturating your pillowcase with product.) That process takes a good 2 hours, which is a bit longer than some of the other brands I’ve used. So it can be kinda strange finding the right time for application.That said, you can also apply these in the morning, and go about your day (if you stay home), with a late afternoon/early evening removal.This isn’t a quick mask- thats the thing.You want to have this on for at least 4 hours to get the max benifits. I’ve worn one for 8 hours before too.After they firm up, you can touch them, lay on them and go about your life and they won’t move. Even when they are dry to the touch, they seal in some really impressive stuff between your skin and the mask. So even after that 4 hr mark and up to 8hrs (that’s as long as I’ve been able to have one on anyways- I’m sure you could go longer) they are going to deliver results.Peeling these off is SO SATISFYING.The thick, gel like mask will turn thin, almost like plastic wrap. These peel off super easy, in 1 or 2 large pieces.My skin is INSANE when these come off!These deliver glass skin to the MAX! Healthy, glowing, hydrated and beyond soft. It looks and feels like those moments after you have finished your skincare routine, where the products are slowly absorbing into the skin, but all of the product from the mask has already been absorbed, so this firm, glowing and hydrated skin stays looking (and feeling) like this for several hours!My skin is firm, bouncy, youthful and all that extra moisture has filled in fine lines- making them invisable!I love these masks, there is no doubting that.Full on LOVE (with a pinch of obsession mixed in too).They work incredibly well. They deliver undeniable results too.There are 4 masks in this box for $20. $5 a mask for these benifits isn’t bad at all. I am used to getting 5 masks for $20, but these have a few extra ingredients that the others don’t, so I feel the extra dollar is worth it.The bottom line is-These are awesome. They deliver amazing results. Yes, finding the perfect time for application can be a bit tricky and they take a little longer to fuse than others, but it’s all worth it in the end!
