Apply in thick, even layers
I used this teeth whitening pen in conjunction with a UV LED light to achieve a smile that was a few shades whiter from a single application, worth 25-30 minutes of my time. Using the pen was a bit of a pickle, even after consulting the instructions. Allow me to go into detail here.First, uncap the pen to reveal a brush applicator. Twist the pen on the opposite end to break the seal and allow the whitening solution to flow onto the brush. The solution has a thicker consistency than molasses so this takes a while. This was the part I’ve had trouble with as there are no signs to indicate flow. Shake the pen to speed up this process. It’s not runny so you needn’t worry about spilling.Once it gets going, apply in thick but most importantly, in even layers. Make sure to avoid the gums as the solution is mildly irritating upon contact and gets worse as it oxidizes. Applying in even layers is key to a brighter, streak-less smile so take extra caution there. With the UV light in place for approximately half an hour and through fizzles and pops heard from what I gather is the oxidization taking place, my teeth are notably whiter. Although it’ll take a few more sessions to get those sparkly whites. On another note, I’m not sure if I’ll be able to reuse the pen still quite full of whitening solution.In short, I’m quite satisfied with the results to give it a full 5 star rating. It also seems to be fairly priced even if they are for single-use only. As a result, I’ll highly recommend to others. 5 out of 5 stars.

2 successful treatments and about 1.5 shades lighter
So I have used this a total of three times now and I am writing this review just after my third application. However, this was my second successful application. It took a little while to figure out how to use the pen. The first time I took the cap off and turned the bottom a few clicks. Thinking the gel was flowing, I rubbed it on my teeth clicked again, rubbed more, etc. I waited 20 mins rinsed my mouth and saw zero results.I then clicked the pen several more times thinking maybe it was empty. Finally this super thick gel came out the consistency of hair gel. I realized my first try was a waste because no gel was on the pen. So I did a second round and properly brushed the gel on all my teeth the second time. I only waited 20 mins, because I was worried about gum sensitivity. After I waited the 20 mins I rinsed my mouth out and brushed my teeth. Using the teeth color chart which comes with this product, I can say I went a full shade lighter. I had no gum sensitivity.Fast forward to my 3rd try (2nd successful try). I used the same pen and spread a thick layer on my teeth. The outside of my lips felt dry/irritated this time I probably should have put chapstick on before the treatment. I had no other side effects. After 30 mins, I rinsed my mouth out and brushed my teeth again. They look whiter still, maybe not a full shade but definitely whiter since the last treatment. Iâd say Iâm about 1.5 or so shades whiter after two treatments. This seems worth it to me. My teeth were already pretty white to begin with (I see the dentist twice a year and brush/ floss daily and use an electric toothbrush). If your teeth are more stained you will probably see more drastic results. Overall a good product just remember to turn the pen until u see the gel before you start.

Easy to Use, Works Well for Sensitive Teeth
I have sensitive teeth and gums, so I was a little hesitant to try this whitening pen, but I was pleasantly surprisedâit worked well with no irritation! The gel is thick and easy to apply, and after a couple of uses, I noticed my teeth looking a bit whiter.My only small complaints: It takes quite a few twists to get the gel flowing at first, and you have to keep your lips off your teeth while it works, which isnât the easiest. That said, itâs a convenient, affordable way to brighten teeth.

Easy To Apply Whitening Gel But Not Easy To Keep In Place
These teeth whitening pens work by dispensing gel onto a small brush, which is applied to the teeth. The directions state to leave the gel in place for at least ten minutes. This is very challenging, since there is no way to avoid touching the inside of lips to teeth during that time. Trying to keep my lips from closing for that long was impossible, and I felt like the gel was being wiped off into my mouth. I did notice some tingling of my gums and tongue. In addition, it was challenging to control saliva during this time, as I did not want to swallow the gel. After managing to wait the recommended time, I rinsed my mouth, but did not see the immediate whitening that is suggested in the description. After a few applications, there was a subtle whitening effect. The directions state that the get can be used with a whitening light, and I may try that, as it should keep the gel in place better.
