No heat Works!
My hair is naturally a weird texture mix of curls and waves and straight pieces and itâs only gotten more oddly textured since Iâve dyed it and used some heat tools on it for years. But now Iâm growing my hair out for my wedding and decided Iâd like to not use heat products any more.It comes with 2 of the sticks to pull your hair through, they are in three pieces each, but I decided to make one only 2 pieces long and the other three pieces long. You can use a dryer with them if you really are in a rush and it works the same! But if you have thick hair, like me, it takes a very long time to put the curlers in, because you gotta make sure you put tiny sections in so that it doesnât knot your hair up.I had to order 2 packs because of my hair being so thick, and once my undercut grows out I think Iâll have to have another pack! What I do is I make sure my hair is wet or at least damp then iâll add some hair oil of my choosing to all of my hair then Iâll section my hair into 2 at the top, preplanning my hair sectioning as I do, and I leave out a layer of the underside of my hair and start in the back, I find itâs easier if you start in the back and work forward for each layer you do.Then with my bottom layers out, I grab the stick and put it through the curler so that the curler is on it and then I hook my hair through the stick and then with my thumb I hold open the hole on the curler while also helping keep the hair in the hook until the opening of the hook is safely in the curler enough then I let go completely of the hook and just press the hole of the curler so that it stays open while I pull the hook and my hair through the other end slowly. I noticed if I go too fast or donât hold the hole of the curler open, itâs more likely to pull my hair and knot it. It sounds complicated but itâs not once you get the hang of it. Plus it so far seems way better for hair than the heat stuff. I just do the same process over and over again and if any part of my hair is a bit dry before I get to it I just add a little water into my hand then put it in that section, I think a mist bottle or spray bottle would be better though, Iâm just too lazy to buy. Takes me probably an hour and a half to put in? Not sure. You CAN sleep in them, but it takes a little adjustment. I like to put them in after I shower so I typically sleep right after that, my cats like to chew on the curlers so I gotta cover them up with a towel or blanket, so it makes it dry slower that way. But if I put them in my hair and just do stuff around the house for about 4-5 hours itâs dry then (I never check before that many hours because Iâm worried itâll not be dry but it probably is dry within an hour or two, realistically)I put a bandana around my face so I can tie the curlers out of the way. They are a little heavy when you have a bunch of them on so they get annoying.Overall, I really like them. Only have used them for a week or so though, hopefully I donât go bald.Oh, and usually my hair stays curly until I brush it out or shower. When I brush it it just looks a little less curly kind of wavy. I tried to see how long they last when Iâm sleeping and i made it three days without wetting them again and the curls were still good just got oily 🙁 thatâs a me problem tho.TLDR: works like it should. Takes a while to put in. Kind of annoying to sleep in. I love them.

Love them!
Ok so, I love these! However, I have a lot of hair so I purchased two sets of them and I am glad that I did. It works best if you do it in small sections. It took my daughter an hour to put them all in for me. I put product in my hair prior to her doing so because I have naturally wavy hair, but itâs not curly. So I wanted to see if I could get ringlets. These definitely made ringlets, however that wasnât a good look for an old mom so I spread them all out and then used hair spray and a sleep cap and they have stayed for 4 days. I did NOT sleep in them. There would have been no way to do so. We made sure that my hair was half way dry when she started putting them in and she started in sections from the bottom and worked her way up. By the time she got to the top my hair was mostly dry. We then used a blow dryer to finish drying them and I left them on for about an hour. Then we gave them another good blow drying before we took them out. Overall I was very satisfied with the outcome of the wave that they produced. We decided that we now have a way to make the process faster in the future, and they were kinda heavy on with two full sets, but worth it for the number of curls.

Truly magical, but sanitize them first
Overall very pleased. Borrowed a different set from a friend to try them out before buying my own, so I’m pretty pleased with how they work.Be careful to wash/sanitize them though before use. I’m not sure how long my set was sitting in a warehouse before it got to me, but there looked to be some kind of bug/dried bug residue in the top-most curler that presumably crawled into it and died there. The plastic seems decently easy to soak in hot water/soap though, so I don’t think it’s much of an issue. In my limited experience, the curl shape is about as close to hot iron barrel curls as you can get with overnight curl gizmos, but if you want to make them stay, your hair needs to be damp and full of product (mousse, gel, leave-in conditioner, etc.). Also helps if your hair is slightly wavy/curly to begin with–can’t say how they’d perform for naturally pin-straight hair. With product and a ton of hairspray once I’ve taken the curls out, the texture lasts about 2-3 days (obviously the curls get less and less defined over that time, but the hair retains pretty good volume). They are not very comfortable to sleep on, but I expected that since your head is essentially covered in semi-hard plastic mesh. Best method I found for that is to sleep on your side, flip up the hair, and wedge your pillow under your head so the hair strands go over the edge of the pillow and you don’t have to sleep directly on them.

Cute curls, not comfortable
These are very simple to use. It took me about 30 minutes to get down but I have very thick hair. I will say they are very stiff, so are impossible to sleep with- it does make it difficult when trying to plan when to use them.To have the curls turn out nice I suggest alternating colors throughout your hair (yes even if it goes opposite direction). Natural hair curls in every direction! I also suggest doing it with your hair 90% dry, a LITTLE wet will help the curls stay/last longer. I would suggest before using them for an important event, practice once before so you can make sure it turns out good.Overall I love that it doesnât damage my hair, but donât love that they are impossible to sleep with- the only time I would use them is to sleep:(

These were so fun to play with. They really work great. You have to take your time and use small bits of hair at a time. Go slow so you donât break the wand. There is a learning curve but thereâs some very helpful YouTube tutorials out there. These are great!

Me gusto el resultado que tienes cuando te los pones. Lo engorroso es ponértelos y quitártelos pierdes mucho tiempo
