I recently watched a short on how to contour your eyes to minimize the appearance of fine lines and dark circles. I ordered this to try out the technique and was blown away by the results. I usually just throw my makeup on with little or no contouring. I have been doing it all wrong all along.This comes with 3 contouring sticks-highlighter, blush, and a cream contour stick.The contour stick goes on smoothly and blends well. It is the perfect shade for adding diminsion to my face without looking overdone. The creamy texture makes it easy to work with. I like that it is buildable.The blush stick is a beautiful shade that looks great on my fair complexion. The color is perfect for adding a little bit of glow to my face. This is good for everyday wear or special occasions.The highlighter stick is the best part of this set. It gives a luminous finish that catches the light just right. It does not have chunky glitter like my other highlighters and provides more of a natural sheen.Each stick is highly pigmented and is easy to apply. They work well together and are compact enough to carry in my purse without taking up too much space.This is a good set for just about everybody. Whether or not you know how to contour, this is a perfect addition to your makeup routine. I watched one video and was able to contour my eyes effortlessly. I did the right side of my face in my typical slap-it on routine, and the left side with these sticks focusing on taking the focus away from my fine lines and dark circles around my eyes.I was surprised at how much a little makeup in the right spots and very little effort can do for your appearance. I thought, well, maybe I am being biased, so I asked my boyfriend if he noticed anything different about my makeup. He said, “Your eyes look different, like one is puffy and tired, and the makeup is a little cakey like you used too much makeup or something. The other eye looks good but I don’t know what you did to that one eye but it doesn’t look right.Well, ok, I asked him to be honest and I got honesty. The eye he is referring to is on the side of my face that I used my slap it on makeup routine. I am glad that my new makeup looks nice but I am a little salty that I haven’t been using makeup right for pretty much my entire life. I use makeup to hide flaws but in reality, I was just enhancing them by not using contouring techniques.I would recommend this, especially if you are like me and are either too lazy or think you lack the skills to blend your makeup properly. This is a excellent value, the sticks can be used individually or together.
