Excellant Manicure Set
First off, I bought this set for my son since he is going away to college. There were a few things I was looking for in a set and had trouble finding what I wanted, until I saw this one. Things I wanted were, finger and toe nail clippers, sharp pointed scissors, and tweezers. It was almost impossible to find that combination (the tweezers were the piece nobody else had in their sets). I had actually just ordered a different 5 pc [more expensive] set by someone else, and as soon as I did, this showed up in the “Items other people viewed”. After reading the reviews, I cancelled the other order and ordered the 3 Swords set. I’m glad I did.This set feels durable and well made. I tried the clippers and they are nice and sharp. And the tweezers that came with the set are also sharp. Not like those tweezers that have child safety tips that are rounded. You can’t dig anything out with those. This set of tweezers has a nice angled cut and are sharp along the complete edge. My son didn’t care what set he got but I did. It’s amazing how many different situations a college student will need these tools for, and not just taking care of nails. This set looks like it will stand up well to college life and the case that they came in is top notch. A nice sturdy zippered case that feels like it can take a good beating. It was a little bit more than I wanted to pay, but I feel like we definitely got our money’s worth.

compact and versatile
I got this pack for myself as my wife always seems to find other manicure and pedicure instruments constantly on her person and not where we keep them collectively… Well, no worries! I now have this kit to pack with me or keep practically anywhere I want to keep it. I’ve used so far both the finger and toe nail clippers and also one of the cuticle tools… The construction appears solid, the case straps that hold the instruments are tight, and the zipper on the case is strong. I’ll say the only thing I’m not incredibly fond of is the actually case exterior. It’s just a personal thing, and in no way impacts the usage(s) of the tools inside. I very well may buy another set or two for gifts to give to friends who have had the same “issue” I’ve had with missing clippers, etc… heheheAll in all, so far I’m quite happy with my purchase and can see that these should last me a very long time.

Is it really made in Germany? The scissors are stamped with the “Three Swords” logo and the word “Solingen”. The tweezers are stamped “Solingen”. The nail clippers have the “Three Swords” logo, but not “Solingen”. And the leather case, nothing.I have to wonder, because if you look for German-made cuticle scissors here on Amazon, you’ll find they alone cost nearly the same as this entire kit. Same with nail clippers. In other words, if you bought the German-made components of this kit separately, it would be MUCH more expensive. Why is that? Are these pieces actually low-quality Chinese-made (sorry for being redundant) pieces, and merely “assembled” in Germany?So far, the pieces seem nice and work well. However, I have only used them once. For now, I like it. But after a while, I’ll update this review if they don’t last.

Great Compact Set
This is a nice compact grooming kit. I lost my last kit on a cruise, so I shopped around a while before replacing it. It has everything I need in a kit. I haven’t had a chance to use all the items in the kit yet, but so far they all seem functional and of good quality. I’ll try not to lose this one on my next cruise (whenever that will be). Good value for the price.

Before ordering this manicure set from Amazon, I ordered 3 others. I sent them all back because they were so cheaply made. When I ordered this one as a gift for my Grandson who is away at College, I was holding my breath. When it arrived and I opened the leather case, I was floored. All of the files, scissors, clippers, etc. were all of steel! They were absolutely wonderful! I could not believe the difference compared to all the others I had tried..they were cheaply made and plastic! From now on, I will always look for German made products such as these. Not only are they of superior quality but the company, Three Swords, has high customer service. They wrote and thanked me for the order, hoped I would be happy with it, AND guaranteed, if I was not , that they would replace the item or refund my money. Great Vendor!!!

I was pleasantly surprised of the quality of the set. I used the scissors to cut my nails and filed after with the glass file. I think did the money this is the The Best Buy out there.
