Good Stuff, But I Really Only Like The Post Shave Balm
So I decided to do myself a favor and get some skin care stuff. I’ve not been the best at taking care of myself like that, but I’m trying to start. Overall these are ok, not sure I would but them again though. The face wash does a decent job, but I would’ve thought they would put some kind of manly fragrance in it. No such luck, it and the daily face moisturizer both smell like what they are: acne wash and lotion. I won’t rate them down for this or anything, just was kind of surprised because the post shave balm has a nice light scent to it which I enjoy! I don’t know if I’ll ever use the moisturizer because I’ve never really felt like my face is dry, but the face wash I use in the shower and have no issues with. I didn’t get irritated from using it and it seems to do a great job keeping my face clear! The post shave balm is lovely,I use an electric razor and my face is often itchy afterwards. This immediately puts a stop to that without any stinging! Plus, like I said it smells lovely! Overall this isn’t a bad set, I just think once this is gone I’ll probably search for something else because they didn’t really win me over on anything except the post shave balm. That stuff I will probably but again!

Mild, Skin-friendly Trio. Recommend for Skin-Conscious Male.
A older male in my immediate family has forever washed his face with hand soap and though for years I have offered him other milder products, have touted the benefits of non-irritating cleansers and skin moisturizers, he has resisted. I suspected his resistance has had to do with gender labeling; the products I have suggested were made with women in mind. So, I when I saw this full kit of practical products targeted at men, I ordered this Every Day Jack set and asked him to use it. Then I asked him to give me feedback.I have been using this cleanser and moisturizer, as well. We both like these products but, as I might have predicted, I like them more than he does. He thinks that this set is expensive and I have to agree that this kit is bit pricey, but not compared to comparable products targeted at women. I think that this kit would make a great gift for someone who is more skin-conscious than my male family member who is comparing the cost to bar soap, who has never used a moisturizer until now. His favorite item is the post-shave balm and the slightly minty smell it leaves on his skin.I like the fact that the moisturizer contains niacinamide, known for calming the skin. I have sensitive skin and this ingredient helps cut redness. I like, too, that it contains hyaluronic acid which helps retain moisture, helps hydrate. The cleanser also contains these same ingredients but because one washes a cleanser off immediately, I see no significant benefit from having such ingredients in a cleanser. However, this product is mild and skin-friendly. It has no obnoxious fragrance and works well. I would consider purchasing this set as a gift for a different male relative or friend.

These items come very attractively packaged in a lovely outer box with a mountain and forest scene. The outer box notes that Every Man Jack uses “outdoor inspired scents” — “invigorating scents inspired by nature. Never overpowering.” Sounds intriguing, fresh, bracing, like brisk autumn air. The three items in the box purport to be fragrance free — and I couldn’t detect a hint of fragrance in the face wash or moisturizing lotion. The post-shave balm seemed to have a distinctively minty fragrance when I first opened it, but it dissipated with use. The products are nice and come nicely packaged. Note that there is a set with shave balm and a similar set with acne spot treatment rather than shave balm — so this likely appeals across the age spectrum. The product seems to be high quality and attractively packaged. And if you’re scent-sensitive, you should be good to go with this set. I would be delighted to try these products with outdoor-inspired scent, as advertised on the box, rather than the fragrance-free version.
