I ordered this product to try as I have been using the 5% minoxidil foam for about a year for thinning hair and had good success. Since Minoxidil takes awhile to work / not work I will base this review on the assumption the product contains 5% minoxidil as stated on the package. The package states it also contains Biotin and several other herbs including ginseng extract and safflower. I am not sure how effective these are applied topically. With so many extra ingredients it is more likely to cause sensitivity. However, I did not notice any reaction or irritation. The package indicates the formula will also help with hair damage and split ends. The product had no noticeable odor. The recommended dose on the package is 1ml twice daily. Yous should do some research for yourself, but for women my understanding is they should only use 1 ml once daily. Unfortunately, the dropper is not marked with measurements. I applied a few drops to my part, sides of the hairline and at the back, then rubbed in. I found it easy to apply and the product absorbed easily into the scalp without leaving a sticky or oily residue on the hair (which has been an issue with some foams). It also came with a scalp roller. I assume the stimulation of the scalp would increase the blood flow and improve absorption. Because I actually have long hair in the back, I found the roller got tangled and possibly caused hair breakage. But this might be a beneficial tool for someone with shorter hair or strict baldness.

No guarantees but worth a try
Minoxidil is a proven ingredient to help fight hair loss. However, it is not going to work the way you want it to for every person. And for some it may not work at all. I have male pattern baldness, which started many years back. While minoxidil has been around for years, I have never tried it, much of which had to do with the initial cost.Here is a well-priced, nicely packaged product that I will finally try. I cannot tell you if it will grow hair on me for some time, as it is not an overnight result. I can tell you this is in a cellophane sealed box and made in China. It has an expiration date almost 3 years out. The bottle inside is not sealed, you just unscrew it and use it. The Derma roller likewise is not sealed, just placed in a little bag inside of the box.The box upon first opening had a strange odor, but oddly enough the serum inside the jar is almost odor free.The Derma roller does not hurt at all, actually feels kind of nice. There are no real instructions included relating to the Derma roller. Eyedropper style jar makes application simple. While I’d recommend washing your hands after use, it did seem to quickly dry on my fingers and not leave a residue.If, like me, you’ve been thinking of trying Minoxidil, I recommend this as a good first choice.

Some concerns……..
This topical minoxidil product came with a dermal roller which provides a nice prickly sensation on the scalp and perhaps will assist in absorption of the product. It is too soon for me to comment on the effectiveness of the serum but it does have the same appearance as other name brand serums I have used in the past. I do not like the glass dropper applicator that has a slightly rough tip that will scratch your scalp. I prefer a plastic dropper with smooth tip that won’t scratch your scalp during application. The other concern I have with this product is the date of manufacture shown on the bottom of the carton (see picture). It states “MFD: 12/09/2024.” That cannot be true as I ordered the product 11/21/2024 and received it on 11/22/2024.

Worked for me
I noticed a bit of thinning, which freaked me out since my hair has always been a big part of who I am—nice hair has been my thing!This product works, but it does take time, so patience is definitely a virtue. I started to see gradual improvements, and I appreciate that the formula is gentle and chemical-free, as advertised. That said, I prefer using an applicator for precision, which makes the process more convenient for me.As for the derma roller, I haven’t used it yet since I’m not dealing with bald spots—just a bit less abundance than before. Still, it’s nice that the kit includes it for those who might need it.Overall, this is a solid product for anyone starting to notice thinning or bald. It’s worth a try if you’re committed to giving it the time to work!
