Thin Lightweight UPF 50 Hoodie for Summer
I am fair skinned and burn easily in the sun. I love UPF 50 long sleeve shirts and hoodies to protect me while not being too hot.Baleaf makes quality products and I have a number of items from them for cycling and they have stood the test of time.This specific hoodie is incredibly thin and lightweight – which is its intended purpose. I did notice a few stitches that are coming out already (pictured) and the thinness off the material likely doesnât lend itself to longevity and durability BUT again the point of these are to be lightweight in hot weather.The Large on a 6â1â 170lb male is a little roomy and long, I probably could have made it in a medium. Regardless of size, the cut of the hoodie is straight and does not taper or have an elastic bottom which I would prefer.The thumb holes are extra fabric straps sewn into the inside of the cuff but they work surprisingly decent.Overall this is a nice UPF 50 hoodie and canât wait to wear it out on the water this spring and summer.

Great find.
So comfy and so lightweight! I got this for my son who needs sun protection but not the heat of wearing a hoodie in the summer. This was the answer and it fits great. The pockets are huge and the material is breathable making this the perfect beach jacket. It folds up to near pocket size, so it would also be something easy to store in a backpack or gym bag or in the car for when you avoid sunburned arms on a long drive. However you want to use it, it’s function and comfort make it a good item to have on hand.

Incredibly thin and light-weight
Weighing just 188 grams (size s), the Baleaf hoodie is clearly intended for beach days and summer sun. A breathable, 2-way-stretch fabric (it stretches horizontally, not vertically) is thin enough to be almost sheer.The tailoring is a regular/straight fit, neither relaxed nor slim, with generously sized pockets inside and out, and a “locker loop” sewn into the collar (pictured). Zipper is good quality with metal slider and pull tab. Hood is large/loose fitting and would hang over my face if I pulled it forward fully. Thumb holes are just straps sewn inside the cuff, not holes in the usual sense.Stitching is strong and neat on the outside, but I did see a few loose loops of threads on the interior. Quality of garment is representative of the respectable standards found in Baleaf products.Overall, a good find for the $30 asking price.

Nice lightweight hoodie
This is a nice lightweight hoodie, perfect for protection from the sun or breezy summer evenings.The fit is true to size.The color I chose is navy blue, and it’s a medium navy, not super dark. It’s a nice color.My favorite thing about this hoodie is the comfortable, lightweight fabric. It’s perfect to have in the car, and it takes up very little space because the fabric is thin and lightweight.This is a great basic to have on hand for anyone who likes to spend time outside.

Feels thin and cool.
It’s thin, light and feels cool to the touch which should indicate that it does what it says. The UV protection will require field test. Definitely have to try this out in warm weather or on a hike. The XL fits well but seems just a bit short.
