Really helps with inflammation and itching!
So I put in my box braids over the weekend. On Tuesday they were itching and pulling painfully. I tried the shower and ACV, which only helped for a few minutes. The pain came back, the itching came back, and redness, heat, and minor crustiness started to happen. Taking the weight of the braids off of my scalp wasnât helping, so I decided to give this scalp solution a try. I didnât expect it to help anything, but what the heck – I had bought it, and I may as well use it, right?WHAT. A. RELIEF. The solution is very thin, like water. You only have to tip the bottle for it to run out, so get that tip right onto the scalp and keep your head tipped back. Itâll run through your braids over the scalp, which is WONDERFUL. I applied it liberally to every bit of my scalp that was feeling irritated in any way. Hit the extra-itchy and extra-bumpy/crusty bits twice.The relief from itching was immediate. I waited for it to come back, but to my surprise, it did not. Instead, the scalp solution started to cool my whole scalp, and this continued until I was able to fall asleep. The pain was gone. The itching was gone. My head felt cool and refreshed. When I woke up in the morning, the cooling feeling had stopped, but the pain and itch had not returned.It is now bedtime and my head only itches slightly. No pain or redness. Iâll reapply before sleeping, and hopefully this will be the last of the itching!

My scalp use to itche like I had cradle cap, dandruff, & all kinds of stuff going on. It sweats like crazy, absorbs moisturizers & oils like a sponge. I didn’t have dandruff or any flakes or anything as you would think. Just a crazy unbearable itch. Now I retwist my locs every 2-3 mnths with the sulfur 8 moisturizer cream (in the photo) & use this liquid lock, twist, & braid medicated solution, 2x a week directly on my scalp, btwn my parts. My itch problem completely stopped Immediately. I’m so glad I remembered what my mom use to use on my hair when I was a kid. First time I used this my scalp was already really irritated so that cooling feeling you feel after you apply actually just made me want to scratch even more. The second time I used it when my scalp wasnât irritated and I liked it much better. Still feel that cooling sensation but it doesnât make it worse. I think the more frequently I use it, the more my scalp will adjust.

I had a wicked case of itchy scalp – I believe it was yeast overgrowth combined with extremely dry weather. I took lots of steps to combat it, including using Nizoral, taking an oral yeast infection drug, adding Selenium supplements to my diet, investing in an OTC lidocaine spray to numb the itch, and buying Sulfur8 Medicated Original Formula anti-dandruff hair and scalp conditioner – not this product.A visit to my dermatologist added CeraVe daily moisturizing lotion into the mix (yes, on my scalp.) The combination of all of those brought my aggravation from a 10 to a 4. But still, it was at a 4.So I bought this stuff. OMG. My scalp is so happy with me. The main active ingredient is Salicylic Acid. Inactive ingredients include Menthol and the combination is bliss.It’s easy to apply, the immediate relief lasts for 8-12 hours, and the long-term relief is better than everything else listed above.If you feel like you can’t stop scratching, go ahead and buy this one. I can only hope you get the same relief I did.

Soon as my scalp start itching I put this on and it stops immediately. This is a shocker for me because nothing really helps. Thats why I love their products. I even use the kids grease for my toddler scalp. He no longer scratch. !
