Beautiful formula, no plumping
I got 2 of these to buxom plumpers to try out in 2 very different shades. The first was this stunning Rosewood which I’m in love with and it’s perfect for an every day look. The second was the Barely There which I really REALLY wish had actually only been ‘barely there’ instead of that orangey tint that looked like I had put a too dark foundation liquid on my lips. It was not flattering at all. As far as I can judge the colors don’t match the advertising. They’re both off a bit. The Rosewood really is lovely though. Now despite my polarizing opinions regarding the colors, I really enjoyed the formula. Unlike the majority of glosses this goes on matte. And I mean like a strong matte. It takes a couple minutes to fully set but once it does, you’re in the clear as this has NO TRANSFERENCE!!! Like none. Eating and drinking and kissing and the napkin test all showed NO TRANSFER. I was shocked. Now, that being said, the color does fade on the inner part of your lips over time and does not stay for the full 8 hours as advertised. A little disappointing but given the fact that I only needed one coat I’m not too upset overall. As for the plumping… I didn’t see any change. I have a couple really good plumpers to compare to and this one didn’t do anything. It gave the illusion of plumping with its very tingly application that kept going for about 10 minutes or so but visibly my lips looked the same as always. So overall the color was hit and miss, it has phenomenal no transfer game, doesn’t last as long as 8 hours, and the plumping was non existent. So I gave it a 4. Mainly because I really really love that Rosewood color on me and the fact that it’s a true matte with no annoying transferring.

Pretty color!
Color is gorgeous. Buxom makes great stuff and this is no exception

Good formula
This is a non drying matte lip product. It feels very comfortable on the lips and the color is very pretty, however, I did not notice any plumping whatsoever.

Pretty rose color but matte lipstick is too drying
“BUXOM Full-ON Plumping Liquid Lipstick Matte – Transfer-proof Plumping Lip Color, 8-hour long”Pretty color and last a few hours, but it’s too dryingThis liquid lipstick has a nice rose color and does feel tingly upon application. It probably last a few hours if you are eating/drinking. My lips are already pretty full, so I’m not sure if there’s a big difference in “plumping” it up, but I do agree with other reviewers that the matte finish makes it dry my lips more than other liquid lipstick. I do wish it was glossy instead of matte, so I end up applying vaseline under a coating and then over a coating to try to keep my lips from drying out too much. This liquid lipstick from Buxom has a matte finish, which makes it inevitably drying. The color is nice, but I definitely wouldn’t say that it lasts a full 8 hours unless you’re moderately drinking/eating during. It definitely has my lips tingling, but I think since normally plumping is associated with a gloss, this being a matte lip makes it counteractive. While it may plump, I feel that the dryness from it being a matte lipstick makes it appear as if there was no change.

Matte Lipstick [Plumping]
This is Plumping Lipstick in a gloss applicator. This is vibrant pigmented lip color that is transfer-proof.After wearing it for the full day [between 6 to 8 hours] for a few days now, I’ve had no issue with smearing or smudging.Other matte lipsticks tend to dry out the lips. I had no issues with my lips getting dried out by the lipstick. The color has lasted most of the day with only one application to freshen it up- which is to be expected of any lipstick. The color I am reviewing is “Comin’ up Roses (Rosewood)There are 10 colors to choose from:~Angel Baby (Nude Pink)~Barely There (Light Nude)~Berry Babe (Raspberry)~Comin’ Up Roses (Rosewood)~Dolly Diva (Mauve)~Heart’s on Fire (True Red)~Hush Hush Honey (Cinnamon)~Make It Bold (Deep Mulberry Nude)~Plum Queen (Plum)~Red Hot (Brick Red)If these colors are as pigmented as the one I am presently using, than I highly recommend these lipsticks for any lady wanting a lovely shade for the Christmas dress! There are shades that compliment any skintone and any outfit for the season! The price is comparable to those of the big box stores, but the quality (I feel) is better.

Pretty color
This is a pretty color, and it’s great in that it feels invisible, but it took quite a while for me to feel any sort of feeling like I usually do with plumping lip gloss, and it didn’t seem to change anything. I’ll still use it, though, as I like how it looks on its own. Plumping isn’t really a huge factor for me, though.

Color is nice, zero plumping
My lips did start to tingle at the 1 min mark which most plumping products do. I took 3 photos, before- immediately after application (still wet and shiny) – and 5 min later. If you want plumping this isnât going to do it. As you can see from the comparison photos there is no difference at all. Now, I was impressed that a matte lipstick could survive eating sushi, which I did immediately after taking these photos, but I didnât take a photo of that. If you like the color and the matte finish, buy it for that, but donât buy it thinking your lips will look any fuller.
