Loud but amazing blender
This blender will take on all comers and destroy them! Another blender I have takes frozen spinach and turns it into itty-bitty pieces of spinach in the shake I make. THIS blender pulverizes the spinach and destroys it down to the smallest spinach molecule. No more worrying about tiny pieces of spinach on my teeth, no maâam, because their ARE NO PIECES. Itâs loud as hell, but it is so worth it.

After a month of regular use, I sell burning plastic
Just like the title states. One of the selling points of this blender was supposed to be its longevity. Now, after a month of regular use (once per day for a nutritional smoothie), this morning it began roaring 3 times as loud and began to emit fumes of burning plastic. Ingredients used have always been in small amounts and it was cleaned after every use. Factory defect or planned obsolescence? It’s still under warranty so we’ll find out.

Would think twice before buying again
The blender started leaking only after a few uses. By the time I decided that it was faulty it was too late to return. Read that the leak could be due to the blades or some other part being loose and for me to take it apart and tighten it out. Not expected to do this from a few uses.

Very quiet and nice looking
This is the 3rd time I have purchased this Kitchenaid blender. One for our RV and two for our home. Had one for many years it finally needed to be replaced the bearings were starting to go so got loud and rusted at the bottom of the container you out your ingredients in. I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 because if you dint dry it week at the bottom of the container it will eventually start to rust. Still my favorite blender and Iâve had many. Love the control options!

Be carefulâ¦
Unit works well BUT you must hold the cup down onto the base unit while it runs, or the cup will bounce up, causing the metal âdrivenâ part of the coupler (on the cup) to strip out the teeth on the plastic âdriverâ part (on the base unit), rendering the unit inoperable. To Kitchen Aidâs credit, they told me they will send me a new unit within 7-10 days and will restart the five year warranty (my unit is just over one year old).
