A little small, but does the job!
Iâve wanted one of these ever since an old friend took me into a spiritual shop. Thereâs definitely a calmness to using one of these. The sound is clear, though is a tiny bit tinny, to me. Itâs small, so itâs portable. It looks handmade. Itâs solid, but not too heavy. It also comes with a little round pillow, which is nice, but when I try to use it on certain surfaces, the pillow makes it slide around a bit too much, so I tend to only use the pillow to display it.

Good sound for a little guy & very reasonable price
I think this is my 5th singing bowl and I’ve paid anywhere from $40 to about $200 for the others. The rest were purchased at a fair trade store run by a charity which meant that they were more expensive and of good quality. I had not been expecting this to come anywhere near the quality of most of the other bowls I have, but I was favorably impressed with it. It’s more difficult to start this one singing than it is to get the larger ones going because of their size. If I can’t start it one time, another tap and going around the bowl again usually makes it work. I’m including a video of mine. On my phone, I have to turn the volume up almost all the way to make it approximate the sound in person. It was a little awkward filming it with one hand while I made it sing with the other and having it on a slick countertop didn’t help. Making it sing on my hand is easier. The pillow is nicely made with no loose threads or gaps in the sewing.I only have one criticism about this bowl. Some photos of the product show a leather-wrapped striker and some show all wood. The product description also mentions leather. This one did not have any leather on it.

Good gentle sound, fast delivery

It looks pretty, but the sound was not pleasant. There were also nicks in the material, making the pestel jump. The doughnut pillow was lumpy, so the bowl wouldn’t sit straight on it.I returned it.

Picked this up as a starter kit, as I didn’t want to spend a ton on my first one. New area of exploration for myself, and just wanted to get a feel for things. Kit includes the singing bowl, striker, and a pillow/pad for the bowl to rest on. I suggest testing it both with and without the pillow, as well as on your desired surface vs in your hand. You may experience differences in the sound quality depending on what the bowl is resting on as this can contribute to vibrations and dampening effects. Personally, exploring Reiki, relaxation, and meditation of different types. So this was acquired in order to contribute to those explorations. Sounds can be subjective, but for myself I find the sound falls just within a range that I find comfortable/positive. Any higher and I think it would be too much. I do find it’s slightly too light weight for my liking, as it can tend to move around a bit if placed on certain surfaces. Overall, a decent basic / starter kit for learning on. I wouldn’t be too put off if you aren’t generating the appropriate sounds right away, especially if new. I did find it was quite easy to get it singing consistently after a few tries.Likes:- Decent starter kit.- Includes a striker with the bowl.- Easy to produce the “singing” sounds.Dislikes:- May change out the striker to something that feels more comfortable to grip. (Subjective).- It’s a bit light, so it can move around too easily depending on surface and arrangement.

It would be lovely to begin a meditation session or other. Was expecting it to be a set of bowls but found the meaning of set, was the wooden hammer and the tiny bowl. The wooden hammer also didn’t have the leather strip on it as described in the directions.

This bowl was a little smaller than I was hoping, but it still works and produces a big sound. You feel a definite sense of calmness and clarity when you make it sing. Perfect for yoga, reiki, meditation, etc. Definitely geared more towards beginners interested in learning about singing bowls. Good quality and is apparently hand made.
