This doesn’t have a heavy scent, but I love the smell of this. My hair has a slightly wiry texture and as soon as I spray this on my hair, the wiry texture has become soft, flowy, and silky. It’s the best finishing spray for me.

Great product. Does exactly what it says it does. Smells great and makes my hair feel soft and silky (I have dark brown, thick, coarse hair) Just don’t use too much or your hair will look oily.

I wish I could describe the smell. I’ve bought products based on people saying how amazing they smell, only to be severely disappointed… the best I can do is to say that it smells like you just left a salon where the products always smell way better than anything else we could use at street level. It seriously good. I wish it was a body spray. The kids I work with ALWAYS say they love it.Having a good smelling hair product is important to me. I wash my hair 1x/week, so I reach for this product a lot.I disagree with the reviewer who says this is only for ethnic hair. If anything, I think it might not be strong ENOUGH for thicker or more coarse hair, unless they’re just going for the smell and a SLIGHT sheen, but at $20-30, that’s a hefty price to pay! (Then again, is it? Idk. At this point I’ve been willing to pay it; seeing as it doesn’t do much else.)Which brings me to the reason I gave only ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️,It says it’s a silkening mist, and oil-based product, but I do kind of agree with another reviewer who said it’s more like a hair spray. Others have said it dried their hair out, and I can see that too, although there’s oil, it’s got alcohol so it will ultimately dry it. Sorry. BUT, I still love it. It’s that yummy to me.It doesn’t say it’s a thermal protector so the way I use it is only at the end of my styling or as a refresher.•I wash my hair once a week.•I use K18 so I don’t use a conditioner for anyone who knows about that line (and I know, sounds horrible, but it’s never been softer and more manageable in my life since I’ve stopped the conditioner and started K18- but I use their shampoo, the spray, & the mask, so it gets pricey. Unless you get it on eBay.🙂)•Then I put in leave in conditioner spray.•Then a teeny bit of Redken Anti-Snap on my ends.•Finally I use some kind of oily serum, whether Chi or Biosilk. (I like Chi bc it’s a heat protectant.)•After air drying for a short time, I blow dry.•Then I flat iron.•This is where the Sebastian Dark Oil comes in. Usually by the time I’m done flat-ironing, my hair will lay nice and flat for me, but sometimes it can still be poofy. I spray it regardless of poofiness at this point, as a finisher, but it will do a fantastic job of keeping it smooth. Honestly it REALLY helps make my hair totally awesome, taking it to the next level.That’s why I buy it.It smooths enough (though I wish it were stronger in that sense, esp for the price).I would love if it were a bit MORE oily and LESS alcohol-y.The smell is a total winner for me.Hope it helps.***For the record I’m a white female with shoulder-length curly hair which I always straighten.

I find oil mists very good for hydrating my highlighted blonde wavy hair from looking dried out or frizzy, especially in between shampooing. I bought Sebastian Dark Oil as my usual spray mist oil brand appears to be discontinued, so I needed a replacement. There are a lot of hair non-speay oils on the market but most are thick, claggy & even the smallest amount weighs hair down, some even make it look drier! This product states:’a lightweight mist for a silkening effect, ideal for touch up’.I actually found this product more like a hairspray than an oil mist, & on reading the ingredients, they are pretty much those of a hairspray, although there is a tiny amount of oil listed. Consequently this has been of no benefit for me.
