WAAAAAAAY better than Skull Shaver
Several years ago I bought a Skull Shaver at an absurd price. It was around $125 but it was the only game in town. It made shaving my head easier and did an OK job. It only had 4 blades and was a huge pain to clean. It lasted about a year. I sometimes don’t learn my lesson, so I bought another one. That one lasted about a year. I gave up on these types of shavers until recently when I bought this one. It cost a fraction of what a Skull Shaver costs, has 5 blades instead of 4, is simple to clean, gives a far superior shave, and it is far more reliable. Was good – then it stopped turning on – but seller replaced
Updated review after 11 weeksI contacted the seller via Amazon and described the non-operation problem I had. They got back to me the same day and offered a replacement no questions asked. I had the replacement shaver on my door just three days after I originally contact them. So great customer service. I’m still leaving it at only 4 stars because you really shouldn’t need to get a replacement but at least it was a good and rapid resolution because my hair had time to grow out!Now I’m hoping the replacement lasts at least a year so I get my money’s worth – hopefully I just got unlucky in receiving one with battery issues in the first place. Given the ratio of good to bad reviews on this product that could be the case. If I get another two to three months of life out of the replacement I think I’ll cut my losses and get something else. I will definitely report back if that is the case.In the mean time if your shaver dies then I encourage you to reach out to their support and ask for a replacement. They seem honest and ready to stand by their warranty.Updated review after 10 weeksAfter 10 weeks the shaver stopped turning on even though it claims it is fully charged while connected to the charger. If I plug it into a charger it powers on while still connected although somewhat weakly. I can’t really use it with a cable attached so now it is useless. This seems to be the common problem others have reported – I suspect the battery is dead. I will try contacting the seller and see what happens however until there is any resolution I cannot give this anything other than a 1 star review – a product that only works for 10 weeks is not good.—-Original review:Honestly if I’d read the 3 star and below reviews I probably wouldn’t have bought this shaver but I was in a hurry and got a good discount so it only cost $30. Given the thousands of times I’ve cut my own hair since I started shaving it to various lengths over 20 years ago I think I can afford a few experiments. This is the first shaver I’ve owned specifically for balding your head. But I like the concept and form factor so even if it breaks down like so many claim it will I’ll be looking for a replacement that’s similar but more durable.So far I’ve been happy. I was never expecting it to shave to the same closeness as a blade as electric shavers I’ve used on my face seldom did unless I spent a lot of time going over and over a spot. In my opinion this is good enough – after a few minutes of attention twice a day only your partner or a stripper would know your balled head isn’t as smooth as a bowling ball.I do recommend a light touch and twice a day if you have time. I suspect many who claim it broke were pushing away hard or simply dropped it. I’ve been using it for a month now and the battery lasts at least a week. It seems to shave as well as it did the day I got it and I note replacement blades are about $11 here – last time I checked the disposable blades for razors are pretty expensive too unless you’re going single blade old-school (which with what my blade razor is).The things I like about this shaver are it is compact, has a nice carry case, and is dead easy to clean. I don’t poke at the shaving heads at all, just blast them with some water from the faucet, occasionally with a bit of soap, and then put it out to dry.I have not really experimented with wet shaving, I’m curious to know if that changes the shave quality. I think it could contribute to clogging and slower speed – or maybe the water washes the clippings away? Right now after a couple of minutes shaving I get to 200 grit sandpaper roughness – if it go at a spot a lot I can get it pretty smooth eventually but really I’m not too bothered. Like I said it will look perfectly bald but I suspect many of the complaints are from people who used a blade before and have never used an electric shaver before. To get perfectly smooth with a bladed razor takes me a lot of work and risks cuts – I’m just not too bothered. As it is this shaver is a time saver and good enough for me.One tip – you do not want to let your hair grow long and try to use this. A prerequisite is shaving with clippers on ‘0â setting ie. no guard at all. It is really so easy to whizz over your head for a couple of minutes at least once a day there’s no excuse for letting your hair grow – unless you really wanted to.If the body of this dies before the cutting blades I’ll probably try something else like the Remington balder with titanium blades. But so far so good. Otherwise if the blades last a few months I’ll get some replacements and keep going.

Battery Life Great – Wet or Dry it does the Job
The shaver works great wet or dry and the battery seemed to last forever. I love the travel case and how easy it it is to handle when shaving. I use it in the shower with no creams or anything and just rinse it with the shower head for easy cleanup. I would have given it 5 stars but it has suddenly stopped charging properly though it still works fine when connected to USB. Iâm contacting RedBreak for their lifetime warranty and am hopeful they can help me with the issue. Iâll come back and update the review after getting the issue addressed.UPDATE: RedBreak customer service is great! They gave me no issues and sent me a replacement!

Best Shaver
This product is fantastic. For the prince, you really can’t beat it. Not only is it efficient and way faster than some of the shavers I have used, it is also completely easy to use both inside and outside of the shower! Cleaning is very easy, and charges last a long time, while not taking that long to charge up. I would recommend this anyone! Leaves my head feeling smooth every time.

I gave this as a Christmas gift. The receiver routinely shaved his head the “old fashioned” way: with a pull-type razor and shaving cream. He absolutely LOVED this shaver and was super excited to get it even though he didn’t know these head shavers even existed. He loved that it is rechargeable rather than needing to be plugged in to use, and he loved how comfortable it felt in the hand. But the most important thing is that he got a really close shave in faster time than he has ever experienced before. This shaver made it super quick and easy and ended up being the gift he didn’t know he wanted or needed but is now in love with it.

This is a great shaver for your noggin! Almost as good as a razor. It’s quick and easy. I use it without any lotion and it works great. Cleaning it is the best and literally takes seconds to do.
