The best truly unscented balm out there
I hate the strongly scented balms, they give me a headache. This worked beautifully for my boyfriend. His beard is soft and very nice 🙂 Gentlemen, if your partner has perfume sensitivity, give this a go. The ingredients are good and it’s one of the better unscented beard balms out there. Unlike non-perfumed products, this actually doesn’t have a detectable scent of any kind. Really impressed. I’m a delicate flower for migraines and this stuff really doesn’t trigger anything for me. And, more importantly, my boyfriend loves it because it is a legitimately excellent beard balm. Soft, mild clean shine, not heavy at all, no residue. 10/10

Nearly scent-free, easy to use
My wife’s nose is extra sensitive and I don’t love strong fragrance on my face even though mine is a lot less so. It’s not super hard to find fragrance-free cosmetics where no fragrance is added, but plenty of what’s left have their own strong odors from the ingredients naturally, which can be just as bad. This is a great exception in that there’s almost no smell at all; to me there’s basically none if I put my nose to the can; my wife can detect a little bit of a natural wax smell up close, but barely and quite tolerable, especially in the small amounts actually applied,I was concerned that application would be messy as well, as my foray into beard oil left my hands covered in grease that was difficult to remove to continue my routine or move on to work and driving. Beard Balm does require finger application but it’s easy to get some on my fingers where it warms up quickly and applies easily. I do usually wash my hands briefly in warm/hot water with some hand soap afterwards to remove most of the residue, and a little remains but not enough to have a negative effect on any other activities so far–my phone screen doesn’t get much greasier than usual after using it and I don’t know that I notice it was even there after 5-10 minutes of normal household activities or making coffee/breakfast/driving.Definitely tolerable from the application standpoint, and a good improvement in lightly conditioning and shaping my facial hair, which is just a longer goatee. I do wish it had a little more hold and kept things a bit straighter. It helps, but my facial hair is very curly and has a mind of its own, so taming it a bit more would be helpful, but given the scent and mess trade-offs, so far I’m quite happy with it, more so than expected!

Disappointed, but smells nice
The packaging is nice. No issues with the screw top lid on the can. The balm smells nice. I have extremely sensitive skin and the product did not cause any irritation. Unfortunately, thatâs where the positives end. The scent doesnât last long. Seems to fade after about 20 minutes. The balm isnât greasy, but it also doesnât really dry. Think of it as a firm Vaseline and that stays present, just waiting to be rubbed onto your wifeâs face with a kiss. My beard is extremely coarse and I feel like the balm hasnât done anything to soften it. Iâve been using it for a week and have experimented with amount of product used and also washing my beard with both warm and cool water prior to application. Maybe it would work better for less coarse beards. It also doesnât seem to do much to tame the shape of my beard. When I first comb my beard after applying the balm it seems a little more tame than usual but after a little while it seems my hair defeats the product and goes where it wants to go.I really wanted to love this product but it just wasnât effective for me.

The beard balm competes with the top contenders, all of the performance, but at a fantastic price, I hope they donât lose sight of this, as this product is a gem.This is my second purchase, my first was the unscented and truly itâs the only one Iâve found that was unscented and not just claiming to be so, perfect for hitting it with your favorite cologne before applying. Would absolutely purchase again.This time I went for the Sandalwood scent based on reviews and wow itâs fantastic, and I will without a doubt buy it again also.

These little tins are great if you want to keep them in your pocket for light touch ups through the day, But if you think you will be using them for everyday use at home i would highly recommend getting bigger tins for home use.the quality of the Balm is good and as for the scent it is a nicely laid back but yet not over powering.
