Convenient, pleasant tasting and effective!
Overall, SOVA makes a great kit if your teeth are sensitive to peroxide tooth whiteners, which happens to me with gels over 15%. I also like using this when I am in a hurry as it only takes 10 minutes vs overnight. The taste is very pleasant and mild. One use brings me up a shade and lasts me almost a week. I can really see the difference when it comes to my canine teeth tend to quicker than the rest of my teeth. All of this with zero sensitivity.I almost gave up using the supplied trays when they did not soften in hot tap water for me. In fact, there is no way tap water will do it, in my opinion. The trick is to put them in a sauce pan, one at a time, with enough water to cover, turn your burner on high and keep a good eye on things. Right before your water is about to come to a boil, the stiff silicone will become transparent and moldable. I used a fork to scoop one out onto a paper towel for a second or two before molding to my teeth following the included instructions. I had to redo my upper jaw a second time and they can be remolded up to 20 times. This is a great feature because teeth move over time or you end up with a new crown that doesnât fit the same in your old trays. I think this kit is reasonable value, and I will surely buy the refill vials to use with my new SOVA trays. Highly recommend this convenient method of teeth whitening!

Good Idea, Poor Execution
I really wanted to like this product because the custom-fit trays, non-sensitivity gel, and short 10-minute application time seemed like a great alternative to the typical whitening strips that are harder to apply, take longer, and can cause sensitivity. While I appreciate the idea of an easier, more comfortable option, this product falls short in a few key areas.The custom-fit trays are supposed to be softened in hot water and molded to your teeth, but I found it tricky to get them to form properly. They didnât seem to mold to my teeth as well as I hopedâmore like bulky mouthguards than the precision of Invisalign aligners. You might have better luck using the gel with an existing retainer for a more secure fit. According to the instructions, you have 20 attempts to soften and mold the trays, but realistically, you’re going to need most (if not all) of them.While the gel itself doesn’t cause sensitivity, itâs incredibly thinâalmost too much like saliva. This makes it difficult to apply, especially to the bottom tray, as the gel just runs out when you try to place the tray in your mouth. Also, the gel comes in large syringes that take up a lot of space on your counter or in a drawer, which is a bit annoying.The product recommends using it for just 10 minutes twice a day. While it’s easy to stick to that schedule, I haven’t noticed any significant whitening results after a few days of use. Iâm planning to continue for the full 5 days or 10 applications to see if thereâs any improvement, and Iâll update this review if necessary, but at this point, Iâm not convinced that 10 minutes is enough for the gel to fully take effect.Overall, I like that this product is gentle on teeth and doesnât cause sensitivity, but itâs not very effective, and the gelâs thin consistency makes it more difficult to use than expected. Plus, the large syringes are a bit impractical. It’s an okay option if you’re looking for something more comfortable, but Iâm not sure it delivers the results it promises.

Minimal whitening, no discomfort, easily and effectively applied
Procedure:The product was used as instructed; that is, in the first week twice a day and afterward once a day. The treatment period took place over a two week period. Routine brushing was maintained throughout the treatment period using an electric toothbrush. The teeth were flossed as normal using traditional floss (not a water flosser). No additional whitening products, such as whitening toothpaste, were used during this period.Application:The trays were easily molded to the top and bottom after warming in hot water. The application of the whitening gel was easy and effectively applied to the teeth. There was no irritation or any induced sensitivity to the teeth or gums.Results:Afterward, there was noticed some whitening but it was minimal. It certainly did not result in âvisible results after just the first use, helping you achieve a brighter smile quickly,â as claimed in the sellerâs Amazon description. Whitening was so minimal that it may not have even been a single shade whiter.Rating:Based on the fact that the trays were easily fitted, the gel easily applied, the absence of any discomfort, and the fact that there was some noticeable whitening although minimal, I feel justified in rating this product with three stars. This star rating is somewhat arbitrary so let me explain this decision. I assumed that three stars is the minimal rating for a product that worked at all. Two stars would be for no whitening and one star if it caused discomfort without whitening. No matter how well the application went and the fact that it did not induce discomfort, the real purpose is to whiten. As whitening occurred but minimally, any more than three stars seems unjustified based on this experience.

The tray is easy to mold. It’s pretty much like molding a mouth guard for football. It’s very easy to use. I got the peroxide free version as I worried about my teeth being too sensitive for the other one. It did not irritate my teeth or gums at all. It’s recommeded to use twice daily for 5 days for 10 minutes. The serum comes in 5 prefilled syringes for easy application. The serum is clear and sticky, reminded me a bit of slime. It does say after after the 5 days to apply once or twice weekly to maintain. I wouldn’t say that my teeth look like Ross from that episode of friends, but I do feel like they are a whole shade whiter. And that seemed pretty impressive for a peroxide free formula. I would have posted a picture of my teeth, but I forgot to take a before photo.
