I’ve always said that if I ever achieved a status in my life that allowed it, I would dedicate an area to function as a life-sized Zen garden. When I share this dream, people often laugh as if I’m joking, and I smile along with them, but it’s not a joke, truly.Among the numerous ornamental Zen gardens I’ve owned over the years, this one stands out as the most complete in terms of decorations included. It’s also slightly larger than the others, although I wouldn’t describe it as particularly “big.”I found it thoughtful that the packaging included a small booklet detailing the decorations, explaining what they are and what each piece symbolizes within the Zen concept.The attention to detail, the clean layout of the items in the box, and the presentation of the completed garden make this a winner. It’s a unique gift for someone who perhaps has everything or could appreciate the concept of the Zen garden.

I love, love, love this little Zen Sand Garden – it is so easy to get lost whilst building it up and playing with the ”sand”. No matter what you design as the final outcome, it will look beautiful.The set comes with some ornaments, some ”foliage”, some rocks/stones, the sand, a base and some tools for creating patterns/designs in the sand. Although the ornaments are plastic, they look very real and are good quality. The little cherry blossom has to be sandwiched between other items to stand, but this isn’t a huge issue really.The designs and possibilities for this garden are endless and you can spend so long raking at the sand using the different tools you are given. I personally have found it really calming to just sit and play with the sand.Visually it makes a lovely addition to any room, which is an added bonus.
