Gillette Labs vs ProGlide
I have used the Gillette ProGlide for a few years now. Once I ran out of blades I decided to try the Lab model.First off, the Proglide feels better in my hand. Partly, because of the weight and the overall design of the handle.The Lab comes with a stand, which I didn’t really want to use as I have a nice razor stand. However, the Lab does not fit on a standard stand, thus I am forced to use the Lab’s stand. The stand is okay, but I prefer the traditional stand. Also, with the Lab’s stand it is easy to knock the razor blade off as it is not very secure.As for the shave, there might be a slight improvement with the Lab razor design, however not that much difference. The Lab has an exfoliating bar, however it doesn’t extend the full length of the razor blades, but not sure it is a detriment.For now, I am going back to the ProGlide. Perhaps Gillette will improve the handles design by increasing its weight and making it about to fit a standard razor blade stand.
