    Surprisingly adequate! An honest review:
My mother and I suffer from intense migraines, pretty much whenever it rains and/or the air pressure changes dramatically. I’ve been to the doctor’s for prescription remedies, but they didn’t work at all. The only thing that ever really works is Excedrin Migraine – and that really only works about 60% of the time.I found Aculief on YouTube when searching for new migraine relief options and bought a 2-pack for myself and my mother. I was hesitant to spend $30 on something I wouldn’t be able to test initially, but the weather in March in Eastern North Carolina is just way too crazy to predict or take a chance on. While I was waiting for my order to arrive, I did some more research into the L14 pressure point. This eased my concerns, as it seems to be generally accepted everywhere that this pressure point relieves certain tension-related pains. Now that I have my Aculief, I’ve been pleasantly surprised! Initially, the product kind of hurts for about 5-10 seconds (especially if you hit bone with it rather than the fleshy pressure point). As you use it though, you’ll find it easier to locate that pressure point. The “pain” fades quickly, however, comparable to the feeling on your arm when you get your blood pressure taken. The main thing I’ve noticed is that I noticed that migraines (which I still get) are WAY down in intensity and duration, if not totally relieved. If anyone is hesitant to spend $20-$30 on this product, I would argue that it is totally worth it to at least give it a try. You’ll spend far more than that at a restaurant with your family anyway. Do it. The worst thing that could happen is you could be dissatisfied and be down one night out with the family (in terms of dollars spent). I myself am very pleased that it helps out at all, as I’ve suffered these migraines for quite literally a quarter of a century. DO IT! To quote our President: What the hell do you have to lose?!5/5 stars.

Didnt find it effective for myself
I would say it’s ok, not very comfortable and can be hard to fit in the right spot. I have horrible migraines and didnt find it effective, also hand size and device is important, you want to find your pressure point as this is what it is made for and help with relief. It didn’t help me , but everyone is different might work for you.

    Sadly, It Does Not Work
I’ve tried just about everything to relieve my headaches, so I was really excited to find a product that claims to provide natural headache relief. However, I was extremely disappointed to find that this product does absolutely nothing to relieve headaches, at least not for me. As a longtime headache sufferer, I am familiar with the LI4 acupressure point, so I didn’t have trouble finding where to place Aculief, but the instructions as to how to find the LI4 acupressure point and where exactly to place it could be a lot more clear. It is also very hard to keep on your hand. They say to place it on your non-dominant hand, which is good advice as long as you don’t plan on so much as making a fist with that hand the entire time you have the Aculief on. It is described as “wearable acupressure for an active lifestyle,” but I couldn’t even turn the pages of a book without it shifting out of place, let alone try to wear it at my job, the gym, etc.Additionally, it is EXTREMELY uncomfortable to wear! I have average-sized hands, but within seconds of putting it on, it was extremely uncomfortable to the point of painful to wear. I tried to “stretch it” before putting it on, and I tried sticking it out because I would take hand pain over a headache any day. I left it on for over 3 hours, hoping maybe the hand pain would distract from the headache, but I ended up with nothing to show for it except deep marks on my hand and a still-raging headache. I envy the reviewers who say they can sleep with it on.I wanted this product to work so badly, I really did, but unfortunately it did not do anything for my headaches.

Good acupressure tool for migraines if you can handle some discomfort!
Long review incoming – hope it’s helpful!I’ll start off by saying that I’ve just received the Aculief tool and therefore haven’t had much time with it yet. I’ll update my review if any of my opinions change! My Story:I have suffered from chronic migraines for my entire life (I’m 25), and it has been a constant struggle to find things that work for them. I’ve cycled through almost all the available medications, and with health insurance in America being what it is, I never have enough of the medical relief that I need. Therefore, it’s very important to have tools at my disposal that can tide me over when I don’t have my medication!I’m a bit skeptical about acupressure, but with how severe my migraines are I’ll try pretty much anything once. I’ve heard a lot about how powerful the LI4 point is, and when I read the other reviews for this little gadget I thought it couldn’t hurt to try it.First Use:I’ve been experiencing a severe migraine for the past few days due to heat and pressure, and I’ve decided to break this tool out at work to see if it can help me get through my day. So far it’s actually been surprisingly helpful! Keep in mind that I am also using medication, so I can’t speak to its effectiveness as a solo migraine treatment, but what I can say is that I notice a definite positive change in the level of pain in my neck, shoulders, and head when I am actively using my Aculief. The Basics:The Aculief tool is very small and easy to slip into a purse or other bag (I keep it in an inside pocket of my purse or a pocket in my jeans when I’m not using it). It’s relatively discrete, save for the color, so it feels appropriate to wear in an office environment. It stays on while I work (I’m wearing it as I type this review), and so far I haven’t experienced any slippage. One thing I have noticed is that in order to hit the LI4 I have to wear the tool differently than is shown in the product photo. I have very small hands, so it’s probably just that the tool is designed with the average hand size in mind. It’s not a huge issue, in my opinion. You can see in the photos I’ve attached how I wear it.One other thing worth mentioning is that, because the tool squeezes your trigger point, you will have some noticeable redness on your skin after taking it off (see attached photos). This seems pretty normal to me, and the redness does disappear after a little while. I imagine that if you use the tool too much or have it too tight some bruising could occur, but I can’t say for sure. I’m not a medical professional, just someone with a lot of chronic pain and experience. :)With regards to worries about stretching the tool: I have been playing around with the flexibility and have stretched it very far with not even a hint that it might break. It seems very well engineered! Why 4 Stars?I only gave the Aculief tool 4 stars because it seems a tad overpriced to me. I get the feeling that you are paying for the branding and aesthetics along with the engineering. For what it is, $20 seems a little much. However, if you are in dire need of migraine relief, it is worth a try if you can afford it.Another consideration in my review was the discomfort I experience while using it – this isn’t the fault of the tool itself; it’s just the nature of this type of pain treatment. While I do wish it fit my hand a bit better, I understand that I am probably not in the majority when it comes to hand size.OVERALL:A very handy little tool for us daily migraine sufferers! I have noticed relief when used in conjunction with OTC medications like Excedrin. Easy to use while working, no effect on ability to type, etc. Will leave some redness after use. Slightly overpriced in my opinion, but still worth a shot if you are in need of quick pain relief.

If you suffer from tension headaches like I do from clenching your jaw in your sleep, then you must buy this! I would usually suffer for 3 days when I get these type of headaches but after using this it only lasted not even a full day. Hopefully it wasn’t a fluke ! I will update if it is!
