Are you kidding! This is great!
This is a review for theBalm Mad Lash Mascara.This is my review after first application.I’ve been searching for a true lengthening mascara thats clean looking, doesn’t flake or cake up upon 2nd coat, especially on the corner lashes.I’ve tried at least 5 new mascaras in the past few months including Clinique, Buxom and L’Oreal. Benefit Cosmetics Roller Lash Curling & Lifting Mascara has been my favorite for over a year now but not seeing the same results anymore and needed a new favorite.This is it. I applied this at 2pm and took this picture at 10pm. I used an eye lash curler and applied 2ish coats.No flaking. Really extended my lashes and most importantly made me feel a little more beautiful today. 5 stars!

Excellent value
I was using a Lancome product, but I was frustrated with how quickly it ran out (especially since it cost $30 a tube). I researched alternatives and gave this a try. I’m pleased with the ease of application and the volume and length of my lashes. The product doesn’t smudge, AND I get two tubes for less than what I was paying for one.

Favorite mascara
This has been my go-to brand for mascara for probably 10+ years. In college, I developed an allergy to most mascaras (I’m still not sure which ingredient I am allergic to). I would get a terribly itchy rash on my eyelids with other brands. I switched to this brand and haven’t looked back. The price is very reasonable, application is smooth and easy and the result is fabulous. But best of all, this one doesn’t give me a rash or make me itchy. The only downside is the containers seem to dry out fairly quickly but probably not any faster than any other brand. I would highly recommend this product for anyone looking for a great price for a good product.

Single and double packages are NOT the same product size
I have been using this for years and love it (though the wand took some getting used to). When I reordered this time, I just assumed the single or double packages contained the same sized product. I should have paid more attention. After ordering several extras as gifts (for about the same price as my normal, full-sized product), I discovered the single packages are mini travel-sized mascaras. While the smaller size will be handy, they are only a dollar less per tube than the full size, and contain about half the product. I am disappointed.Seller – please consider relabeling the product options on this page so the different product sizes are clearer. As a repeat customer, I didn’t revisit the pictures and reviews. I just chose between the single or double package.Also, the price per ounce is wrong for the single package. If my math is correct, I paid about $58/ounce for that size ($8.75 for .15 oz) – quite a bit more than the cost per ounce for the double package.Giving 4 stars for the product- but the product size was an unpleasant surprise. If not for that confusion, I would give it a 5.

Best Mascara I have Ever Used
Gives my eyelashes natural yet bold look. Love it!Itâs getting more expensive than it used to be, but itâs worth it.

Mixed bag
The color is not a true black and certainly not a deep black; more of a black-grey. Rather disappointed as I wanted a true, deep, rich black. The lengthening is slightly better than average but the “volume” aspect is just not there. 3+ coats and still couldn’t achieve those had with MAC and Mally. The one thing it really does have going for it is its wear: it doesn’t flake, doesn’t smudge after drying, even after sleeping in it. MAC has a major problem with the massive flaking by end of day, which is why I tried this one. Mally has just gotten stupid expensive and hard to find except on their site (Amazon doesn’t carry the version preferred).The brush is lackluster, as well. Because it has that weird ball-barb thing on the end of it, getting globs is the par, even with major amounts of dabbing onto tissue, side of tube, etc. It is as if it just holds onto the mascara and pushes it around instead of letting it go onto the tissue, etc. for removal.The dry-time is so-so. I have never had an issue with the ends of my lashes streaking the upper lid during application but this stuff does and does not want to come off once it touches the surrounding makeup. As such, I keep my eyes at half-mast while it dries.In the end, I have turned to adding a final coat of the MAC along the base to give it that punch of black against the white of the eyes as well as they extra oomph of volume.Really was hoping that this was “the one” but, alas, the search continues. SIGH

Best mascara ever!
Ahhh I have finally found the mascara I’ve been looking for!! I feel like I’ve tried a million over the last couple years and had come to the conclusion that, no matter what you spend, they’re all alike. I always thought I had pretty nice eyelashes, but I feel like my mascara always makes them look clumpy and blah. I had never heard of theBalm before when I came across it on Amazon, but I was struck by all the reviews from people who got it in their Ipsy box and ended up purchasing it. I figured it couldn’t hurt to try; it’s more expensive than a mascara you’d get in the drug store, but still relatively low cost compared to what you could spend.After using it for a few days, I am in love! I think it must have something to do with the thin curved wand, but this mascara goes on so easily and actually lengthens my eyelashes and thickens them without making them clumpy. Seriously, every time I look in the mirror, I’m so happy because my eyelashes finally look how I want them to look. It comes off easily with my makeup remover and when I wake up in the morning, I don’t have to use more makeup remover, like I have with mascaras in the past. I also love that the mascara is cruelty-free. So happy I discovered this!
