Wonderful scent, ingredients I trust
I love this brand. The smell is so lovely and light, and does not give me headaches. I despise most shampoo scents because they’re just stronger than I can tolerate, especially with two little girls who tend to overdo it when shampooing their own long hair. I trust the ingredients of this brand better than any of the usual stuff on the shelves.

Pleasantly surprised
I didnât have high hopes for this conditioner to be honest. I was looking for something naturally scented and as clean as I could get. Iâve using other products by this brand and theyâve all been great so I figured I might as well try. The conditioner is on the thinner side and you donât feel much when youâre in the shower. I fully expected my hair to be a tangled mess because the conditioner was so thin but there were zero tangles in my hair and it was SO SOFT after blow drying. I canât wait to try the shampoo now. The lavender smells just like lavender essential oils so itâs light and not overpowering. Great product!

The search continues..
I cut my hair almost 1 year ago now but I’ve been missing the length for a long time so I’ve been trying to speed up the process with hair growth Shampoo and Conditioner. I wanted to love this since I’ve tried some other products by Avalon Organics in the past with good results. The Shampoo lathered pretty good and washed out fine. The first problem I noticed was that it didn’t feel like my hair was hydrated/moisturized and it was noticeably more tangled.. The Conditioner felt better and helped give my hair more hydration but problem number 2 was that using both of these made my scalp burn for a while. I got momentary relief when I used a hydrating shampoo and conditioner afterwards but it persisted when I got out of the shower. Upon inspection, I saw that my scalp was red so I used some Rosewater on it which again only provided slight relief until it persisted for about 5 more minutes. Problem number 3 was the smell. It’s not too bad of a smell but I was hoping it would smell like Rosemary as it seems like that’s what the herb on the container is. Granted, it does smell like Rosemary but there’s something else in there that I can’t tell what it is resulting in a subtle scent. Apparently some other people said there’s had a strong smell so I assume it differs by batch. Problem number 4 was the packaging. I ordered both the Shampoo and Conditioner and received them together but for some reason only the Shampoo was in a bag and had a sticker on the top to prevent leaking. The Conditioner… it wasn’t even closed right, had no sticker or plastic bag to protect it and so it unfortunately leaked. Thankfully it only leaked in that small spot that it was in so it didn’t explode all over the package or any of the other items I had. And that’s the thing.. I don’t think Avalon Organics shipped this to me directly so I can’t even be mad at them for the packaging, had I gone to the store to purchase this (like I honestly should’ve done) then this wouldn’t have happened. In the end I wouldn’t recommend this to anyone who has sensitive skin like myself. I’ve never had a sensitive scalp only skin (particularly on my face, hands, and chest) but this seems too strong for my hair and scalp with the irritation and drying it causes. I might just go back to Hask as I’ve had good results with their biotin Shampoo/Conditioner but for now the search continues… Also I highly recommend to use a leave in afterwords as I feel like it made my hair more frizzy than usual. Even if you don’t suffer from frizz with this product or in general, I’d still recommend it to anyone as hydrated hair tends to shed less causing more growth in the long run.Update: I’ve since tried Mielle’s Rosemary Shampoo, Masque, and Oil, and the results have been drastically better. I’d recommend trying those out if you’ve had bad results with Avalon.

Works for me
Pros of this conditioner: it’s medicated, leaves scalp feeling refreshed, and softens hair. Ever since I started using this conditioner twice a week, my hair and scalp have never looked better. Zero dandruff to be seen.Cons: The smell is not great. It’s not awful, but it’s not pleasant either. The chamomile leafs on the bottle had me thinking it would smell similar to chamomile tea, but it really doesn’t. The conditioner itself is SUPER watery too. It’s hard and near impossible to get a good lather on my hair. Will I keep buying this after I run out? Probably not. But I’m also not going to throw it out as it serves its purpose. I do recommend it if you don’t mind the smell and can get past the lather issue as like I said, the product does what it says it does.

Great product and great company
My hair was getting super dry and brittle, but with a thick greasiness at the scalp. I was starting to lose a lot of hair as well. Switching to this product has helped all those issues. I also like that itâs natural, not too expensive, and it was packaged well for shipping. I had no issues with the bottle busting or spilling.

Just absorbs into hair, no help with conditioning
I’ve used the Avalon Organics thickening shampoo and liked it–smell and degree of foam. When I ran out of a previous conditioner, getting a new one that was EWG approved was very important to me, so I again noticed that Avalon Organics conditioner was an approved product.I tried it–and much like many other reviews I’ve seen–although I like the ingredient list and its non-toxicity, the conditioner itself smells “different” than the shampoo (which was very herbal and pleasant). This one smells like nothing or even a little off-putting smell (that you can’t smell once you leave the shower anyway though) which to me is a moot-point.The thing I don’t care for is that it just soaks right into my hair, no detangling or smoothing whatsoever. In fact, my hair feels incredibly coarse in the shower while using it. And I have used about three pumps per session to get through my ultra-fine, yet long hair. I’ve been coupling it with another conditioning product to help with that, but it’s a bummer because I was hoping it would be a staple in my haircare routine. I lose just as much hair as before, it seems, whereas a lot of other people seem to comment on a lack of hair loss once using the products. I haven’t experienced that benefit unfortunately.Probably would not buy again but would try another Avalon Organic conditioning product to see if it works better.

Helped my thin hair
Several years ago I started using this product and their shampoo. My stylist asked me what I’d been doing, because my hair was thicker. The only thing I changed was I stopped using products with bad ingredients and began using these.VERY PLEASED

I have long, fine hair that gets weighed down very quickly and is oilier than it is dry. This Avalon Organics clarifying conditioner is great for my hair type: it provides just enough moisture to my hair to stop it from tangling, without building up on my strands and weighing it down. The lemon scent of this conditioner is beautiful. It’s got that light, crisp, bright citrusy lemon scent, with just a touch of sweetness (like a lemon dessert). I use the conditioner after shampooing and leave it in my hair for 2 or 3 minutes before rinsing, and the scent fills my bathroom. The conditioner rinses cleanly from my hair, and I love how light it leaves my hair once it’s dry. This is a clarifying conditioner- it is NOT heavily moisturizing so if you have dry hair this isn’t the product you’re looking for! For oily hair, however, it’s fabulous, as well as for limp hair that is prone to product buildup. I’m really pleased with this conditioner, it works really well for my hair and I will buy it again.

I switched to Avalon Organics and tried this conditioner after learning about the use of formaldehyde (DMDM) in my previous conditioner of choice under the OGX brand. I chose this conditioner because cosmetic ingredient analysis websites show it has no harmful ingredients. The pros are this smells great, leaves my hair feeling fresh and clean. The cons are that this is less thick than conditioner I’m used to, so it’s more on the liquidy side. This takes a little getting used to but overall I’d recommend it.

Love the texture and fragrance. I didnât use it for long enough to comment on the long term results.

Wasn’t able to find it in the stores anymore so ordered on here. I have very straight hair but when I use this it seems to put a little curl in it. I like the rosemary smell as well.
